This was our first time here and it was amazing. The team was very nice and helpful. The food was fantastic. You can sit anywhere and the qaitress will take your order or there is a cafeteria option where you order through the line. We had the breakfast for lunch. If you are in the area, please stop by you will not be disappointed.

Great place to eat! Homemade biscuits and big portions of damn good food. Got The Jessie’s Kitchen breakfast dish with extra cheese and it was so damn good, every bite was better than the last. Great waitresses that keep your coffee full and have great attitudes.

Favorite breakfast place…love the Spanish omelette. Enjoy looking at the memorabilia decorating the cafe. The service is always excellent and we often leave with items from the bakery counter. This place reminds me of cafes my family dined in when I was a child (60+ years ago). The ownership changed a couple if years ago and everything has only improved…drop in, you’ll see.

I took my 4 year old granddaughter in for breakfast. She had a huge pancake. I ordered biscuits and gravy. WARNING the serving is huge so go in when you’re hungry. I love the inside of the building so much to me back to my youth.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Kingsland, Texas. It was so good, we stopped on Thanksgiving Day on our way back home to Kansas. This has become one of our favorite places to stop and eat. Don’t forget to get yourself a cinnamon roll to take home.

I use love this place. Where I’d come in town, I’d got eat there. Well Friday got the catfish platter to go. Well the catfish was like catfish jerky because it was so dried and the hush puppies were hard. My dogs like them. Then today, dropped my foster at Isom so id decide to go in and eat breakfast. Big mistake. Bacon tasted old and biscuit was hard and not fresh. Hash browns blah. This place used to be sooo good

Grabbed two small plates, ate with my father. My father ate the brisket and smoked sausage, which he said was tender and juicy. He also enjoyed the sweet tea and cornbread, although he felt the collard greens were a bit bland. I ate the catfish, which was well seasoned and had nice breading, I also really liked the cabbage and hush puppies. However, the green beans were a bit lacking in flavor, and I felt the cornbread was a bit dry. Kinda wish the food was a bit warmer. Overall, we enjoyed a simple quick meal that was pretty decent.
Additional info:
They don’t ask for payment upfront. You grab the food, and then they come to your table for payment afterward. I’m surprised cause I feel some people would take advantage of this system by eating and then not paying. I think this business model would work in killeen.

It would have been 45-50 minutes before the food would be delivered after ordered so hot breakfast rolls and coffee worked as just great for a 3-hour drive. People extremely friendly service was really well done for the short time we were there. Couldn’t tell you the quality of food but their pastries are really good.

I like to consider myself a connoisseur of onion rings and the Country Kitchen did not disappoint! Their onions rings are fried in a beer batter and delicious! They are very crispy and the onions fresh and perfectly fried. I highly recommend. The service was friendly and very attentive. I would also recommend their roast beef sandwich, it was fantastic as well!
