Just FYI, this is a seat yourself and pay at the front counter kind of place so dont wait around like a goober like me We wanted to try a new place and settled on this. We had the hamburger steak and shrimp poboy. Great food! Service was friendly as well. We want to come back for breakfast one day and see if this is a good ‘regular’ stop for us. It is clearly the right place for others as it seemed many regular customers were near us. Come check it out.

This is open from 630 to 3 PM daily except for Sundays. We went for breakfast today, but could have ordered from either menu (930AM). I had 2 eggs with toast and tried the hash browns, with a side order of blueberry pancakes (smaller than the regular pancakes but both were plenty big as a side order). The blueberries were in the batter when cooked, but some fresh blueberries were also served with them, and there was also a slice of orange on the main platter, and was plenty of food that all tasted good and were served warm. The eggs tasted fresh. I enjoyed the pancakes as well. They have both maple AND Steen’s cane syrup, if you ask, which was very important to my husband. My meal was just under $10.
My husband ordered the banana pancakes and a side order of bacon, and he thoroughly enjoyed them. The pancakes had a rich banana taste throughout, probably from mashed bananas added to the batter, and multiple slices of fresh bananas alongside the 2 large pancakes, as well as 2 slices of orange.
The bacon was well cooked and very tasty.
I also ordered a cup of coffee, which was fine, and the waitress or hostess came by frequently to top it up, so it remained warm and I had plenty.
Our waitress was in good spirits and attentive, and all in all we were very satisfied.

It took a little while to get service, even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy, but once we were helped everything was fantastic. I recently started drinking black coffee, and theirs was excellent—rich and smooth. We ordered two breakfast plates, and both were cooked almost to perfection. The bacon was crisp and delicious, and our server was amazing. Overall, a great experience once things got started!p

I had the excellent shrimp platter, husband enjoyed the chicken po boy. Service was great, even though we got there 30 mins before closing, never felt hurried to leave. Would visit again when next in Louisiana.

The reviews are spot on you will not be disappointed. Food was amazing and large portions. I was shocked when they brought out the fruit bowl. Less than $7 for all of it!!! Best sausage I have ever had and the gravy was to die for. Mind you we travel full time around the US and this restaurant is in our top 10 now for breakfast. Our waitress, Amanda , was so fast and always made sure we had everything we needed. She said she has been working here for 18 years and the other waitress had been here 16 years. All the wait staff was checking in on our coffee so you never have an empty cup. We can’t wait to come back and try lunch. Don’t miss this place you won’t be disappointed.

Quaint place (old Ted’s Frostop location)… with consistently good food at reasonable pricing. At busy times the kitchen can get backed up… but not long… and definitely worth the wait. Breakfast or Lunch and daily specials are great!

First time here! I loved it! I will go back! Very busy due to impacts of hurricane Ida. Clean, bright, family atmosphere. Local, quaint, country, friendly lol. Food took some time to be prepared, but it was unusually busy. Wait staff was great! Kind courteous friendly. Fried catfish and shrimp plate was delicious. Fresh and clean tasting oil and flour. Tartar sauce was to die for and made in house. Provided me with lemons which were also fresh and tasty.. Potato salad was awesome (it was cold opposed to room temperature). French fries were good. Fresh ingredients. Fresh tasting. Simply delicious. Pay for ticket at register up front at your leisure. Single toilet restroom. One for men one for women. Bathroom was clean and stocked. Had a wonderful meal and wonderful time spent with family. Our waitress Amanda was a doll

A favorite of ours bc it’s basically, normal, delicious home cooking and the prices are kept reasonable. Lots of food for the money. The best catfish special on Friday!

My first time trying this place and it has a “homy” vibe to it. The food was good, the servers were nice. We had #1, western omelet and short stack pancakes. It was decently priced as well. If you’re looking for a place to eat brunch or Southern food. Try this place. Will surely be back again
