Was really disappointed in this place after all the good reviews. Food is not good. Look at the hashbrowns, seriously? And the service! Wow. First time I’ve ever been to a “local” or “southern hometown” restaurant where the staff just completely rude and do not care and dont even want you there.

The seating is a disaster. Worn out, old, seemed to have left grease all over everything. Took forever to get “cooked to order” food that was straight from a microwave.

Love it…eat here so infrequently and Everytime wait was minimal, buy suspect we’re just lucky time wise. Eggs, bacon , tators, and coffee…what else do you need! Love a busy diner and almost walking distance from home!

The portions are great but the food left much to be desired. Nothing to write home about, and the hashbrowns are store bought. All this for $8 though?? Nb.

Love the food, Tony’s slop!! I think a lot of people would call it a skillet one of my favorite breakfast from them. French toast is really awesome and more than you can eat. Even when busy the food is usually out pretty fast and hot. Service it’s pretty great. Just a great Old Fashioned restaurant.

My goodness. What to say about country kitchen. I literally eat there EVERY DAY!! I love the French toast! Love love love. Hungry man French toast will feed an entire family! Well maybe one adult and a couple small children. But it’s a lot! The ONLY reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the structure….It needs a little bit of updating. But other than that. The place is amazing with GREAT food!! Oh yea, and the fact that she stopped serving breakfast after one. Don’t like that at all…..

Terrible service and terrible food.

Terrible food – The fried sides came dripping in grease (obviously had not been drained of the oil). The burgers we ordered tasted way too greasy.

I ordered the Pimento Cheese Burger w/fried pickles and sautéed onions. When i got my burger it only had lettuce, cheese and tomato on it. I asked the waitress about the lack of condiments – “Oh, we removed the pickles and onions from the burger because people said they didn’t like the taste” – WHY WOULD YOU HAVE IT ON THE MENU THEN!?! I did get a SIDE of fried pickles, dripping in grease of course.

Understaffed – Took almost 50min to get 2 burgers, the staff was very disorganized with the cooks having to confusingly wait on tables at one point.

The waitress we had at first was very nice and kept our drinks filled, i did feel bad leaving such a bad tip; however for almost $15 a plate my expectations were much higher.

This place seems to be known for its Chicken and Waffles dish. Maybe that dish is delicious, but i will never know.

Been eating breakfast at this place for over ten years.I love to support local businesses as much as I can but the experience I had this morning will never be forgotten. I came in and ordered the same thing I always do. First they served me a blk pancake it tasted Burt so I sent it back while my bacon sits and got cold.then she came and took the bacon and recooked it again but it was so nasty after that the bacon was not editable. It tasted like Burt grease.so I told her I did think I should have to pay for the bacon (something I couldn’t eat) since i had also waited extra time for then I was told if I didn’t pay for bacon not to come back.I was over the response and asked to speak to the owner i then had to wlk to the kitchen to tlk to her she preceded to cuzz and scream she was not cooking for free.this by far is my most worst experience I had ever had in an establishmeant I was told not to return and after goin in the back and seeing the dirty place I suggest all the people not eat their.I just wish I would have know sooner most un professional people I have ever seen.after being a good customer my feeling were hurt.I hope this review can touch a few people and open their eyes up

Local “greasy spoon” – meaning great food at bargain prices. Seats are a bit old & have butt hollows. Tip her well, she’s doing a great job and the tab is never very big. Even 20% isn’t much $.

Very inexpensive basic breakfast & lunch. Omlette with fillings, cheese grits, sausage, and biscuit for under $7; can’t beat that. Made-to-order fresh off the grill; very tasty.

This is the place to go for no-frills breakfast and lunch. Really cheap but food comes as is without any seasonings (which I’m perfectly okay with). Definitely come here if looking for a nice, easy, cheap, country breakfast.
