This is your run of the mill family-owned and operated diner. Very small. Needs a good scrubbing of the 1980s wallpaper, mopping of the floor, and table cleaning. Our table was sticky and had fries, straw wrappers, and a mozzarella stick underneath. The food is bland, but good. An omelet and homefries, pretty basic and bland. An open turkey sandwich, disappointed with canned gravy. The pumpkin pancakes were good. Nothing special here. Service was slow, place wasn’t crowded. Server wasn’t unfriendly, but not friendly either. I’d say dead average. But there’s something charming in a place as run down and basic as this. Not trying to change the world or make a million. Not going to wow you with speed or chit chat. Just serving average food at average prices. Need food? They’ve got you.

If you are in/near Taneytown, MD this is a must visit. Small, family owned diner with the most amazing comfort food. Only open for breakfast and lunch, we ate breakfast twice on our recent visit. Once just wasn’t enough! The food is cooked fresh after you order, so it takes a bit longer than fast food, but it’s so worth the wait. With our party of 7 we ate a bit of everything. The biscuit and gravy divine, the omelets very generous and delicious, the French toast and waffles amazing. You can’t go wrong!

Great example of a mom-and-pop restaurant in nearby Taneytown Maryland. Food is always good there, we’ve been there several times. It is small, but they managed to keep social distancing the protocols in effect. Prices are very very reasonable. I’ll always look for reason to stop there when I’m in that part of town. Worth the drive, two thumbs up

Great little find passing through. Service was great at the bar. Food was delicious. Wife had a feta spinach omelet that was loaded with it. Usally you can barely find the fillings. Worth the stop.

A small-town diner like you would expect. Daily specials and super friendly staff make this a must-eat place if you are in town or passing through. There isn’t a lot of seating and it can get crowded, but it is worth the wait.. even if you have to wait for a few minutes.

Crowded, small, loud, long wait. Food wasn’t anything spectacular. Asked for scrambled eggs with cheese and got what looked like an omelet egg consistency with partially melted Kraft cheese slapped on the top. Not what I expected–maybe that’s the country way? Bacon was good. Pancakes had a weird taste. Milkshake was great.

The waffles for to go are much thinner than the waffles you get in store and they charge you the same. And when confronted they’ll straight up deny everything. This issue must’ve been addressed multiple times bc the lady immediately responded with the fact that they’ve had the same waffle machine for years. Bc if I was the first person to address this issue the normal response should’ve been shock and confusion.
I’ve also brought up the pix on their “website” (I meant Google website) are completely different.
And they hung on to “we dont have a website” I continued to repeat “GOOGLE” they either r too unintelligent or couldn’t care less about conning and lying to their customers.

Small family own restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. We have visited several times for lunch and the food has always been delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is always served quickly. There are two tables by the front windows that have a great view of the street to people watch. Plenty of parking nearby in the parking lot beside the restaurant (behind the police station). Prices are very reasonable.
