My family said the chicken tortilla was good. I had chips and salsa which was actually decent. Food came and server got me a water. Didn’t take our empty food. Came back to check on us and still didn’t take the bowls and basket. It was at the end of the table since before we got our food.
Wet burrito was okay but i wouldn’t get it again. Rice was super mushy.
Train your servers to be servers!!!! There was barely anyone in here unacceptable!!!!

The Class of 1965 from North Judson High School had a 60 year luncheon reunion in the private dining room. It was wonderful. The meals were all perfectly prepared and the portions were generous. The 2 servers were top-notch. We’ve all decided to return to the Country Kettle next year for a 61st reunion luncheon!!

Older, well established restaurant where breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed. Sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs over easy, and crispy hash browns all cooked to perfection. This breakfast meal was food delight of the day.
Our waitress was kind and courteous, efficient, and kept us filled with coffee. Perfect service to go along with a perfect breakfast.
The price was cost effective against a delicious meal.
I highly recommend this place.

Sadly, i didn’t get any pictures. It was all soooo good though. I got the early bird special of 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and hasbrowns. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and filling. I really didn’t need anything else. I would also like to note that the hasbrowns were cooked perfectly, scattered like requested. You wouldn’t believe how many places don’t get that right.

My girlfriend and I just ate at Country Kettle. My girlfriend is a waitress. When our server brought our food out, she asked if we needed anything else. My girlfriend said she would like some parmesan cheese. Our waitress did not bring out the cheese, and she checked on other tables around us. After noticing her and before I could politely call to get her attention, she went back towards the kitchen. A couple moments later, as we were both still eating, she came out with our check, put it on our table, and said, “this will be here for when you guys are done.” As she proceeded to walk away, my girlfriend asked for a box. Our waitress went to get a box for her. Right as she turned around to come back to our table, I politely asked for one too. Then I asked that question, this waitress was looking at me, and she rolled her eyes before turning around to get one more box. I usually tip generously, especially for good service, which my girlfriend appreciates, as she has been a server for six years. I left a tip of $1.00 this time, and both of us agree that was probably more than she deserved.

Me and husband ate at 217. I grew up there. My husband is African American. He was treated bad. Plus the waitress. Would not talk to him. Food was good but waitress was bad. We have never been treated this way
