My daughter had the mini omelet with bacon in the middle, and it was fine. My wife ordered the #5—two biscuits topped with eggs and sausage patties, covered in gravy, with a side of potatoes—and that was definitely the best choice.
I ordered the huevos rancheros, and they made the eggs the way I like. They came with rice instead of potatoes, which was an extra charge. Personally, I prefer potatoes for breakfast over rice. The sauce could have had better flavor, and the tortillas seemed store-bought rather than handmade.
That said, the service was very friendly and quick to check on us.

Low key quiet place. Food was hot and pretty good. Portion sizes were moderate for a moderate price. The chicken fried steak had nice crunchy golden crust with good cream gravy. I’d eat it again. Husband had the fried fish of which he said was delicious. His portion had more. Good came out on time.

The enchiladas were good. Chicken is always the best option for those but to each their own . Individual Restrooms & Dining Tables were super clean, the area was well maintained. I didn’t get the Kind young lady’s but she did an amazing job managing the front by herself. Never waited much on anything, drinks, food, sides nor on extra request. I will be returning SOON solely for the chicken enchiladas.

We absolutely love Country House Café. We’ve been coming here since the doors first opened, and it has become our favorite Saturday breakfast spot. The food is always outstanding, fresh, and consistently delicious, but what truly makes this place special is the Country House family. The warmth, kindness, and welcoming atmosphere keep us coming back week after week. It genuinely feels like more than just a restaurant. And it doesn’t stop at breakfast — their fajitas for lunch and dinner are fantastic. Terrell, TX is truly blessed to have this wonderful family and business.

This family owned business is fabulous. The food comes out hot and very tasty.
The fried fish was wonderfully seasoned and those onion rings are going to be legendary! My wife extremely enjoyed the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy!! She had to cool it down before she could eat it. Fabulous!! The coconut pie is homemade and extremely creamy!

Great customer service. Awesome food. Spoke with one of the owners and he was so friendly and he explained how everything is made fresh daily. If you are ever in Terrell, TX definitely stop here. You won’t regret it. Loved it.

Their sign was down due to wind so be aware. It’s a small building but will probably have many cars parked out front because of the food and service! The chicken tenders were some of the best I’ve had and I’ve had a LOT! They were light like tempura is the only way I can describe them. Hubby had steak fajitas. He said they were delicious and fresh. The restaurant was clean! If you’re in Terrel, TX or want to take a drive, try this sweet little gem. You’ll be blessed for it.
