If you are heading South on I 95, do not hesitate to take a slight detour, to this rustic, family run BBQ Restaurant! It is a hidden gem. The exterior of the building is not fancy, but the food is very good. The BBQ buffet had delicious homemade BBQ meats and sides! This was my first time experiencing authentic Southern BBQ cooking and it was a treat for the tastebuds. All of my questions, about what was offered on the buffet, were patiently answered by the nice lady, working at the restaurant. I walked in hungry and walked out stuffed. Need I say more? I hope this review helps another hungry traveler!

Went from a 5 star review to a 1 star review all because of the old lady that works in the back (I think she owns it too). I have two young children, one who is almost completely deaf and is still a baby and the other is only 4. We frequent here quite often and today she felt she had the right to raise her voice at my oldest (while he was sitting in his seat) telling him to calm down. Unless you are paying my bills and you are a part of my family, DO NO NOT TELL MY CHILDREN WHAT TO DO. PERIOD. Doubt I will ever come here again. Just because of the poor atmosphere towards children.

Went For my fathers birthday. Food was just ok. Not great for the price. Not enough on buffet for the money. Only 1 dessert. Not thinking everyone don’t eat banana pudding. Need to redo buffet to make it more appealing. Want b back no time soon.

Bbq is good. Slaw is pretty good. Mac and cheese is pretty standard but good. Purlew is just ok.. Not enough meat. Great people and decent prices on the buffet. Selection is very limited. Not 5 stars with browns and schoolhouse nearby but 3.5 isn’t available and I’ll err on the side of good people anyway.
