$10 meal + $13 meal + 1 coffee = $36? Didn’t give me a break down, didn’t offer a break down. Gave us our food, didn’t come by once after, sat there for about 15 minutes with empty plates and empty drinks waiting for the bill. Finally gave up and walked up myself, got a nasty glare for paying and leaving. I tend to leave $10-$15 tips, waitress didn’t even deserve the $4. You took my order and brought plates over, nothing else.
Everyone has bad days lady, this is your job. You can bet yourself most of the people coming in who work can’t act like that towards clients without issues.
Also never offered a to go box- ya know- cause she didn’t come to our table once. Cream gravy also tasted super fishy for some reason. Hash browns were cold.
Beyond that, seems like a nice local spot with pretty okay prices for food. Just don’t have any expectations for the service. Gas station side is pretty dang good.

The Winston truckstop has an excellent restaurant called the Country Café. This evening I met up with my son and had the fried tenderloin sandwich with fries. It was great! We had a waitress that was pretty new (I think her name was Lilli) but she still did an excellent job! Yes I will be back!

We stopped for lunch. Excellent! The hamburger was one of the best I’ve ever had, made with fresh beef, and the hand cut fries were perfect for me. They are big and soft. Clean ,and friendly staff. It may not look like much from the road, but it is a great place to eat. I didn’t see any skinny people anywhere around, if you know what I mean! My wife had the Philly Cheese steak sandwich, and it was really good as well. I brought home a piece of homemade coconut cream pie.

Five stars all the way across the board. Only the locals know about it and a few others priviledged to dine my friends, yes you are my friends and that is why your considered, “IN” and have been included. No secret handshakes no special codes or words are necessary, just bring you appetite. (Larger location next door being constructed as we speak).

Drive bye this place often. I had time today stopped in. Looks like mainly locals eating almost all tables full. I got stared at by almost everyone as I sat down at the only open table. Ordered the lucky burger, I wasn’t to lucky today. The patties were over cooked and the French fries under cooked. Nothing like a Chewy burger under cooked fries. After a long drive.

Waitress on 9/10 for supper was great. Omelet was HORRIBLE. It was runny & meager under cooked hashbrowns. This is the 3rd time we have eaten here at night, and likely the last. Daytime, I get better quality food. Took my omelet home, cooked it. Poor waitress apologized & took it off my bill but that want tge point. My husband took me out so I wouldn’t HAVE to cook after an extra-long day

The Country Cafe in Winston has wonderful food and an extremely friendly staff and management team. The cafe area, floor, tables, and chairs are always so clean and well-maintained. It’s great to have such a nice and clean place nearby to be served a hot meal and be treated so well by the cafe staff. Thank you!

First time back since they moved into the new building and didn’t disappoint. Food still outstanding, pancakes are delicious and just one is a meal in itself. Staff did an outstanding job. Glad to know they have only gotten better and I will definitely be back.

I crave their chicken tenders and fries! Handcut fries and juicy white meat tenders. Something for everybody on the menu and breakfast is always a hit. Grab cheap gas and snacks too.
