This is comfort food at it’s best. This place feels like an old fashioned dinner. We had breakfast on a weekday and it was full with what looks like retired people who weren’t in a hurry. The food and service was good. I could see eating here often.

They have great specials. Got the country fried steak with their famous family recipe country gravy. Amazing. Definitely Culpeper’s best breakfast restaurant. They are big in customer service. They make sure everything is perfect for you and actually care. Best breakfast in Culpeper by far. Our go to for sure.

My family and I visited Country Café & Catering back in June for breakfast, and we brought my brother along for his first visit. We originally heard about this place from a family friend who tried it on a whim and loved it and after today, we completely understand why. The food, customer service, and overall atmosphere absolutely blew us away.
Right from the start, the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. We were seated quickly, and the wait between ordering and receiving our food was minimal. My daughter was a bit antsy, and the staff surprised us by bringing her crayons and a coloring book. This was an unexpected but very thoughtful gesture that made a big difference.
The menu had plenty of great options without feeling overwhelming. I ended up going with the Country Boy after our waitress recommended it, and the food came out fast. Everything was cooked perfectly, and my wife, brother, and I enjoyed every bite. This is the level of breakfast quality and care we’ve been looking for, and we’re glad we finally found it.
On top of the great food, every staff member we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. I told my wife that this place hits the “holy trinity” of a great restaurant: excellent food, excellent service, and an excellent environment.
It’s safe to say we’ve found our new favorite breakfast spot in Culpeper. It’s miles better than IHOP, and my wife even prefers it over Frost Café.
Thank you for the amazing breakfast!

I just finished breakfast here… And I’m absolutely going to make this a regular breakfast spot! I ordered, and finished, the largest breakfast bowl I’ve ever been served! And it tasted awesome! The ladies working behind the counter were very friendly and welcoming, and I enjoyed every single bit of my visit.
Note, parking is a bit tricky…be prepared

I just moved to the area, and my step-dad was visiting. We decided to get breakfast while my dog was getting groomed around town, and this little diner did not disappoint! We will definitely be back. Finally a place that understands “dippy” eggs!!

Small town vibe where everyone knows everyone. Small and cozy. Large portions and very friendly staff.

All 4 of us had delicious breakfasts. Their crab cake breakfast and banana bread French toast specials were wonderful. Service was excellent and their teamwork was seamless, I think 4 waitresses alternated at times so we never waited for anything. I was so happy they added the ramp in front so my husband could use his wheelchair to go in and out. Thanks!

I couldn’t have asked for a better start to the day! Breakfast in this cozy, country-style kitchen felt like waking up to a home-cooked meal straight out of a Sunday morning tradition.
Everything was fresh, hearty, and made with care — the kind of food that brings everyone to the table with a smile.
What made it even better was how relaxed and welcoming everything felt. The coffee was hot, the conversation easy, and the laughter came naturally. It reminded us that breakfast isn’t just the first meal of the day — it’s the one that sets the tone for everything that follows.
If you love honest, home-cooked food served with genuine warmth, this country kitchen breakfast is everything you could hope.

It was a little hot in there. But the food was great! We had the banana french toast, and the Kielbasa omelet. Both were delicious!

The name Country Cafe fits this place perfectly as it is exactly that. Stopped in for some breakfast on our way to the mountains. Food was delicious and lived up to everything I expected it to be. The prices were amazingly low it made me contemplate moving there! Will definitely stop back by next time we are passing through.
