A cozy, loft-style place, spacious, with interesting design! You can spend time in the comfortable chairs! The coffee is perfect and pastries are good. I like the black mugs there, they are pleasant to drink from.

Best coffee shop in Seaside with a cozy vibe! My husband got the regular coffee and really enjoyed the flavor. The coffee is sourced locally from Santa Cruz, which is a positive way to build community. I got the Iced Ube Latte and have had the hot before. Both are great! While we were there the owner played the Sandals Endless Summer Vinyl and shared a cool story about the band. Lots of seating, and a clean spacious bathroom.

Yes it’s a bit more pricey than your standard cafe but I don’t mind paying for the ambiance of this place. Very spacious and full of character, I’m sure the rent isn’t cheap. I had a regular latter and my wife had an oat milk decaf lavender latte and we both really enjoyed what we had.

The coffee is great, the pastries are delicious and the baristas are warm and friendly. They play a wide mix vinyl records from various artists.
This is a great place to relax and think.

I had a mixed experience here. While the service and coffee was fine, I was concerned about the cleanliness during my visit. There were several flies inside the pastry display case, and the seating area was a little dusty/dirty. Additionally, the bathroom was in need of attention. I hope these issues can be addressed, as I’d love to come back.

Counterpoint Coffee is a solid spot with plenty of seating, making it a great place to hang out or get some work done. The free WiFi (password: Beherenow) is a nice touch, especially for anyone looking to get productive while enjoying a coffee. Speaking of coffee, the banana bread latte really surprised me—it was so delicious! I also had the apple croissant, which was warm, flaky, and totally hit the spot.
That said, there are a couple of downsides. The staff wasn’t super welcoming when I visited, but I’ll probably try again to see if it was just a one-off. The service was also a bit slow, so don’t come in expecting a quick grab-and-go experience. Plus, it’s on the pricier side—$8 for a latte and $5.50 for a croissant, which is a bit much for a regular coffee stop.
One thing to note is the noise level—it’s not the quietest place, so if you’re looking for somewhere calm to relax or study, this might not be your best bet. Overall, it’s a great spot for a tasty drink and snack, though just be prepared for a bit of a wait and a higher bill. I’ll definitely be back to give it another shot!

Got an Americano, ham and cheese croissant, and a scone. The coffee was nice and rich in flavor, while the scone was very chewy. The croissant was mediocre and probably made with lard as opposed to butter and my issue is that I wanted to grab something fast but they didn’t tell me that they toast their croissants so it took way too long to get my order.
The place has a weird pseudo new age atmosphere with “eclectic” deco, odd music, and tons of incense burning.
While not impolite, the barista was very cold, and would barely whisper so everyone had a hard time communicating with her.
Overall it felt like they are trying really hard to be cool and hip but the place is neither.

Interesting atmosphere with dope music on. I enjoyed my oat cappuccino but it would have been better with another oat milk like oatly or califia. I find minor figures makes flavors a bit too bright for my preference.

Avocado toast is amazing, the infused olive oil dressing on the arugula is fire. Cappuccino had perfect foam, and if you are into the fancy foam drawings; you will be happy.
Atmosphere is top notch for people into the concrete industrial vibe with smokey blues jazz playing the background. Front and rear exterior seating. Dueces, quads, and bench seating available.
Photography artwork for sale. B/W images with a red hot chili peppers band vibe. Vinyl records. Also, well designed clothing swag; crop-sweatshirts and hoodies.
Place is vibing.

My favorite coffee place in the area — well-made drinks. I am always happy with my cappuccino here, and if you like more elaborate coffee drinks, they have some interesting, tasty, and beautiful ones here, including ube and pandan lattes.
