I recently started eating healthier, and while driving through Vero Beach, I looked up vegan options. Counter Culture Beachside came up at the top of the list, so we decided to check it out. I’m so glad we did!
Everything about this place was excellent—the atmosphere, the food, and the service. We had the pleasure of meeting Lisa and Anthony, who are not only talented chefs but also really warm and friendly people.
We ordered the “Go Italiano” and the “Floridian Noodle Bowl”, along with the “Hibiscus Berry Iced Tea”. The food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. It’s clear they take pride in using high-quality ingredients.
Even if you’re not vegan, they have options for everyone. We’ll definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal.

Had an absolutely incredible experience at the new beachside location today!! The menu is fresh and new and let me tell you, DELICIOUS! There are normal options and plant-based options. As a vegan in Vero, it’s difficult to find quality meals that make me want to go back and that blow my mind.
The white veggie pizza we got was made plant-based and the cheese/ricotta really tricked me I had to ask the chef if it was really dairy-free. The taste was on par with real mozzarella and I can’t get over it. They put so much thought into the recipe for this and I appreciate it so much. From now on this is the only way I’m eating pizza.
Second favorite was the mexican flatbread, the southwestern herbed hummus with all of the fresh ingredients had me dancing in my seat while I was eating. This would probably be a nice dish after walking along the beach because it is just so refreshing and not super heavy. Incredible.
Also pictured are the chicken and waffle dish along with the sodbuster sammie (added plant-based chicken) which were also amazing.
My partner and I made the best decision today by visiting Counter Culture (again it’s the new BEACHSIDE location near Casey’s and Chelsea’s on Cardinal). Thank you to the chefs and staff that made our experience one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Vero (born and raised here). They made it feel like home and every dish was made with such care and love.

My husband and I picked up lunch to take to the beach. It was our first time trying Counter Culture. The staff was super friendly. The Pollo Damiano was delicious as was the Beachside Salad + Salmon. Definitely plan on returning!

It’s small but very comfortable! Lisa was very helpful with our Granny in wheelchair. She answered all our questions about the menu. The chicken salad on cranberry bread was the best we ever had! Next time, we are going to have her homemade desserts!

This is a great and cozy neighborhood cafe with a very interesting and creative menu. Our Reuben sandwich was Delish!!! Reasonable prices! Damiano is an awesome chef. Miki made us feel very comfortable and special, she was very attentive and she beamed a positive attitude. Highly recommended! And we Will be back!!!

The food was good. I ordered a simple Poké bowl and weigh a 25 minutes for it when I ask people why it was taking so long they said it wasn’t fast food. I’ve ordered many poke bowls. They don’t take 25 minutes.

This is the hidden gem that you do not want to miss! I’m so glad they opened their restaurant one block up from the beach (on Cardinal) with a great location, super sweet and hospitable service, clean restaurant, comfy seating, (SN: with cute restrooms too!) and yummy food… better for you yummy food at that. Check it out when you are beachside and if you are not beachside… it’s a super easy trip over the bridge. You won’t regret it! Yum!
