Reviews
We made our dinner reservation through the website, and everything went smoothly from the start. The hostesses were welcoming and seated us at a beautiful table by the window with an incredible view of the Hard Rock Guitar.
The food was outstanding, as was the service. We started with the Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail, which was excellent. The Sea Bass was amazing, and the New York Strip was perfectly prepared.
Our waiter, Michael W, along with his assistant, took great care of us throughout the evening and made the experience even more enjoyable.
We will definitely be back for more dining experiences.
The tomahawk steak was ideal for sharing with the most tender bits of meat that melted in your mouth
Don’t skip out on the octopus appetizer as it was definitely one of the most talked about dishes
Desserts were delightful though. I don’t feel as though you have to leave room for them.
Loved every minute. Can’t wait to visit again!
Thank you team Council Oak! Keep up the great work. We’ll definitely be back!
We dined at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, located inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, as a party of seven, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish.
From the moment you walk in, the restaurant feels elegant, warm, and timeless. The ambiance is beautiful without being pretentious, perfect for a group dinner, a special occasion, or simply enjoying a high-quality meal while staying at or visiting the Hard Rock.
The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was prepared with care and attention to detail. The flavors were rich yet refined, the presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted exactly how a top-tier steak and seafood restaurant should. Even with a larger group, every plate came out perfectly executed.
The service was professional, attentive, and well-paced, no small feat for a table of seven. We felt taken care of without being rushed, which made the entire evening even more enjoyable.
This restaurant is a reminder that classic fine dining never goes out of style. Beautiful space, outstanding food, and a memorable experience inside an iconic location.
Highly recommend.
We were thrilled to meet their new bartender, Margarita (formerly from Kuro). What an absolutely fantastic addition to the Council Oak team! Her cocktails are perfectly crafted and her hospitality is top-notch. Makes one of the best Espresso Martinis in town.
We were in this past Friday night and loved that they are trying out new live bands. The one performing that evening was phenomenal. They should definitely be a permanent fixture!
We cannot wait to come back for more great music, fabulous drinks from Margarita, and another delicious meal. The service is always outstanding, no matter who is taking care of us. Council Oak continues to impress every single time!
The biggest disappointment is that this place used to be great for a sophisticated dining experience, which is no longer the case. The main dining room is being brought down by the lack of customers being allowed to enter without proper attire. People with golf apparel, and baseball caps seem to be the allowed norm now. Why bother getting dressed up looking for a nice meal, when you can just go to the buffet area?
I have been going to this restaurant for the past 5 years and will probably not recommend it fine dining anymore. The table service is very good, and the servers are dressed better than the customers. The food is just average, not worth paying for at a premium price.
We had been at Hard Rock earlier attending the Teddy Swims concert with friends and came here for a late dinner. My daughter and I shared a prime USDA beef T-bone steak. It was prepared perfectly! Juicy and tender. We added Lobster Mac n Cheese, Council Oak Bacon, Calamari, and fries. All of it was delicious! We also ordered our favorite drinks. Our server was Miguel, who is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. We were very impressed with all things Council Oak and can’t wait to go back again.
We parked at the Lucky Street Parking Garage, which was the closest garage.
In short: Council Oaks is a perfectly fine steakhouse experience.
Noteworthy details:
– If you’re into dry aged beef, they have several great options.
– Good balance of different items on the menu, all in that traditional American steakhouse realm.
– Nice variety for bread service.
– The iPad cocktail menu will suck you in, like it did for me, and I wasn’t mad about it. Blackberry pisco sour was a nice treat. (See picture)
One nit picky thing: I am a potter, and when we make dinnerware, we think about how it will be used in service. The design of the steak knife drove me crazy because it would only rest on the bread plate. The round handle caused it to slide around on the rim of the oblong plate they serve the NY strip on. It would either fall onto the table or slide onto the dish, getting messy with food.
This was a nice change of pace from our typical Hard Rock routine.
