Disappointed by the fish and chips. Felt like it was sitting out and then recooked. Fries were crispy as croutons. Would have taken back, however, got it to go. Had better hopes for this place, as the atmosphere and service from staff was good.

Second time in and the food was just as yummy the second time around. Friendly staff and great place to grab a bite to eat after a day of skiing. We got the BBQ Bacon Mac & Cheese and Buffalo Wings (extra crispy, per the recommendation from the bartender). Definitely will be back!

Went there one time about two months ago, five tables total, got sat and didn’t get spoken to for ten minutes and walked out without notice. Got told to give it a second chance so tonight we did. It took 25 minutes from being sat to getting a water where we were then asked what we wanted to eat. The prices are insane for quality of food and service. Service is sub par, I would understand if extremely busy but again, not busy at all. Server did not seem to care or be apologetic for all the time it took to get to us, bring out a cup of soup and a basket of fries. We will not ever be back.

Great service and cool vibe. My sister and I split the grilled turkey and bacon Sammy and it was delicious. We started off with bruschetta which was average (too much garlic). The warm Brie and huckleberry was delicious. Our waitress was AMAZING and was so on top of it. Will definitely be back. There’s also a cool antique store next door worth checking out.

I had the Bison Burger was absolutely delicious. The garlic fries and onion rings were perfectly cooked golden brown and crunchy just the way I like them. The atmosphere is great here with its western cowboy feel and a fire burning in the corner.
If you are ever in McCall or Donnelly Idaho area this place is a must do.

Great service, super friendly waitress. Food was great overall.
Rueben sandwich was phenomenal; came with Onion rings which were good.
Chicken fried steak was decent but probable wouldn’t get again; came with scallop potatoes which were delicious.
Huckleberry Hummer drink was delicious and strong.
Regular mojito was ok but nothing exciting (stick to their specialty drinks they’re known for).
Potato Skin Appetizer I would skip.
Atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a place named Cougar Dave’s ❤️ Somewhere between sports bar meets saloon meets mountain cabin restaurant.

Hands down the BEST Patty Melt I’ve ever had in my life! The onions were flavored like they were pulled out of French onion soup. Cooked a perfect medium temp, served on a toasty marbled rye. Pure perfection! Kaylie was a very pleasant bartender/server. Top Notch staff, chef and owner.

This was the BEST place that we have eaten at in our 5 day visit!! Tried other local restaurants & was not impressed. Will be returning! I hate to do this and talk negatively about a small business, but I have to save future restaurant-goers from making the same mistake. I ordered a medium rare New York strip for $40 and it was single-handedly the worst “steak” I have ever eaten. It was an atrocity. Besides only being barely 1/2″ thick, I am about 90% sure it was given fake sear marks, frozen, and then microwaved. You could taste the freezer burn. It came with rehydrated mushrooms that had the texture of a sponge and it was cooked well-done. Even if this steak was $15 it wouldn’t have been worth it.
With that said, the service and atmosphere was on par with what would I would expect, but overall very disappointed.
