Cotton Patch Cafe looks like the kind of place that serves tasty home-style cooking. But based on our experience, “tasty” does not apply! It’s weird; even now, the food in my photos *looks* good, but not one of the four of us really enjoyed our meal.

Pretty descent food. The vegetables and sides here are outstanding. I usually order chicken strips or chicken fried chicken. My most recent visit I tried the meatloaf and it was pretty tasty. The baked potato I had along with it wasn’t anything special which is a shame since the other side dishes are so good.

My waitress Cynthia (17 yrs old) was extremely respectful and very attentive. She made sure she checked on us and was very patient. I highly recommend her!!! We happened upon this place because I was feeling lazy and didn’t want to cook or to fix up and boy am I glad we did! Things seemed freshly made in house, not out of a box, but was still extremely fast. Food was good and good sized portions. A good value without having tons of leftovers. Our server was a young guy who was a bit awkward but you could tell he was really trying.

Lately we’ve been through a few bad experiences with some restaurants around town but tonight Devon C. restored our faith in good wait staff! Never needed to request any refills, always provided any requests quickly, friendly, polite, and appreciative.
Also, #1 broccoli cheese soup in town. Oh and the new cinnamon butter is on point!

They have new flavored teas with free refills that are amazing. When we wanted to order the new brisket queso, they were out but the manager Pete (maybe Peter) came by to check how everything was then offered some that was freshly made for us to try! It was great food, warm, and a clean place to eat.

The service by Brian was excellent and his Manager Melissa treated us like VIPs. So the food was great(Tilapia and meatloaf) . I would only suggest more TVs in the eating areas to liven up the atmosphere a bit. Overall great food and service!!!

From their HomeStyle Favorites to their On The Grill & HandHelds they offer a wide variety of menu options. That deliver scratch-made, great tasting food consistently.
They have their dine-in only Texas Value Meals that offer a different entree each day of the week.
Along with their Special Classic Meals that are smaller portions of select menu options.
If you are a fan of Dr Pepper they have specialty inspired entrees along with a Chocolate Cake dessert that definitely has to be tried.
A family-friendly restaurant that is very reasonably priced. In a nice laid back atmosphere, that delivers great food & a pleasant dinning experience.
