There food was excellent. I had the super fish and shrimp combo very good. And I will eat it again too. Wife had chicken fried chicken she loved it. Waitresses were very good really nice too. The place was really comfortable.

Ordered Togo from Cotton Patch in Waco and went full comfort-food mode. I ordered the chicken and dumplings with green beans, rice, rolls, and okra, classic Southern staples done right.
The green beans were the star of the plate, packed with flavor and clearly seasoned with intention, not as an afterthought. Absolutely delicious. The okra was crispy and comforting, the rolls were warm and hit the spot, and the rice was simple and solid.
The chicken and dumplings were good and hearty, but I did wish they had a bit more flavor on their own. A little salt brought them right where I wanted them, and once adjusted, they were still very enjoyable.
Overall, it was a comforting, satisfying meal with generous portions and that down-home feel Cotton Patch is known for. I’d definitely come back—especially for those green beans.

Me and my mother came here on Saturday September 20, 2025 and ate. Our server Ms.Tiffany was phenomenal!!! She greeted us with a smile and welcoming us in. She waited on us with excellence!!! She came by from time to time to make sure everything was ok. The staff here has been kind, from my second time coming and my mother coming many times. The food has always been delicious, price reasonable, and a clean atmosphere!!! If you want to feel valued as a customer, ask for Ms.Tiffany. I give her 5 stars in all areas.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had dinner at Cotton Patch tonight and it was a great experience! The food came out hot, fresh, and exactly what we were craving but what really made the visit stand out was Alexis. She gave us excellent service the whole time, stayed on top of drinks, and made sure we had everything we needed without even having to ask. Super friendly and attentive. Will be coming back!!

I called in a order after getting off work (12 hr shift). The woman taking my order was polite and efficient. When I arrived, I was greeted quickly and my order was already bagged abd ready. That’s where the good part of my experience ended. I had no utensils included in my bag, my broccoli and rice casserole was under portioned and cold, and my black-eye- peas were undercooked (borderline crunchy) and not warm either. Im assuming they didn’t have much dressing to serve cause the portion was small as well.

Had my 1st visit and let me tell you it was amazing. Our server Rosa was so helpful and patient. Can’t wait to come back and bring my husband. All portions were big – all food was seasoned which made everything seem homemade. Definitely recommend for all to give them a try.

I like other Cotton patch cafes but decided to go to the one in Waco and horrible service, small portion for the price, and environment was off. When getting there was ignore for several minutes then when I asked why the portion was so small they stated this is the size a order and it has always been a kid size. Like what. So I’m like ok can I have a to go fork and rhe face that was made to me as if I was asking too m7ch was ridiculous. This one will not order again.

As often as I come here, I never knew that rating the restaurant had incentives behind the scenes! I go here at least twice a week and never an issue. They’re generally not to busy later in the evening 7-9 and that’s my favorite time to go. It’s calm, waiters and waitresses are always on top of it. Lacy was my waitress the night of this review and was phenomenal. Got my drink out quickly, took my food order and brought it out, all within reasonable times. Highly recommend!

Kathryn was amazing. I had issues that she quickly resolved and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of the rest of the way! The food was fabulous and Kathryn truly made me feel like I was her only customer and had her utmost attention. Kudos to you! You deserve a raise!
