This isn’t my first time here but my first time reviewing.
My parents lived in Chatham for some years so this was a usual dinner spot when I visited.
We were in town for the race in Martinsville and I suggested it for my birthday. My husband made reservations for 8 PM. It was pretty empty. The nicest the hostess was the entire time was when we left. When she screamed, have a good night. It was very thank god you are leaving.
I ordered an old fashioned and my husband got a beer. We ordered crab dip and hushpuppies for an appetizers. Then both got ribeyes. All of them arrived at the same time. We did notice the apps sat on the expo line for a long time. For a finer dining establishment, I would hope timing would be considered…but the entire time I just felt like they wanted to get us in and out as soon as possible.
Another table was sat behind us and the same waiter was super attentive. I struggled to get a second drink and almost went to the bar to just get one. It was clear we needed to be in and out. Perhaps that was our fault for such a late reservation. We promptly left before 9 to not be keeping them late. I really wanted a key lime pie but my husband suggested we just leave
The condition of the restaurant also seems to have gone down hill.
The food was fantastic. My issue is solely with the service. I didn’t expect the red carpet to be rolled out but I did not expect to feel like spending money there was a burden.

We actually found this restaurant by accident. We were looking for another one that apparently went out of business. This place was absolutely amazing. Our waitress Linda was fantastic. She made the night. Food was outstanding. We highly recommend this place.

Had such a lovely dinner here! The crab dip was rich and flavorful, the stuffed flounder was cooked just right, and the key lime pie? Wow — tart, creamy, and the perfect ending to the meal.
Our waitress was excellent — friendly, helpful, and super attentive. You can tell the staff really cares about making sure you have a good experience.
The space itself is gorgeous, cozy yet elegant, and makes the whole evening feel a little special. We left already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for a place with amazing seafood, great desserts, and top-notch service, this is definitely it.

My husband and I are so impressed by all the restaurants and shops in Danville. This restaurant was beautiful and the food was delicious. I had the filet and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had salmon and that was delicious as well.

The food was pretty good, pricey, but we went in expecting the cost. Our server was pleasant, but the service itself took a while, we understood it was a Saturday afternoon but they had plenty of tables available.
A note for parents, they do not offer teas or sodas, our son had to get a non-alcoholic beer (which did contain 0.5% alcohol).
Overall, a nice experience, but I can’t say I’d recommend.

It was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a very long time. The restaurant is next to the Dan River and provides great views. The food is absolutely incredible… Everything was fantastic! The service was perfect. We will be back when in Danville.

Great spot that overlooks the Dan River. Great drink selection & the food was amazing. The staff were super friendly & attentive. Started with the crispy brussel sprouts(so good), had the shrimp & grits for the main(phenomenal), & ended with the peach cobbler (saved the best for last obviously). I attempted to take pics but ate half of everything before I got the pics because everything was so good. When I am back in Danville I’ll definitely become a repeat customer at this gem of an establishment!
