I worked at a GR brewing/pizza place and have also frequented plenty of local pizza places in my 13 years living in GR and the downtown Cottage INN is by far my favorite in the area. I am soooooo glad to we have got this new location. Not only is everything ALWAYS super tasty, but the delivery is constantly on point, and the quality for the price cannot be beat. Everything is always so good. I have to add an additional shout out, because on a day when the weather has been atrocious the crew has gone above and beyond with their exemplary service. My order was expectedly running a bit late (past a 45 minute mark which is already super fast for a lunch delivery order and is almost always what it is even during weekend dinner hours), but as the weather is horrible I totally understood and really wasn’t bothered. But I randomly get a call from the store apologizing for the delay which was totally unexpected and extremely appreciated though again in this weather I completely understood the circumstance. I would order again anyways (and always tell friends to do the same), but I’ll just be adding this extra addendum to remind people how awesome this location is as well as how thankful I am for everyone busting their butt in this crazy weather. Thanks again for feeding us during our third snow day in a row! Our favorite pizza was definitely appreciated!!

Some of the best pizza in the state of Michigan and BY FAR the best of the chain pizza joints. I’ve never been to a Cottage Inn where they didn’t seem to care – and this location is no exception. I’ve never had a bad meal with Cottage Inn – unlike places like Domino’s and Pizza Hut (which I generally like, nothing against them), Cottage Inn is INCREDIBLY consistant. With Domino’s or Pizza Hut, for example, you’ve got I (non-scientifically) estimate around a 70-30 shot at getting good pizza to complete trash. Cottage Inn, on the other hand, can be counted on for good to exemplary pizza every time.
I hope their new Grand Rapids locations get the traffic they deserve, because they are incredibly well run with care for the customer and reasonable, fair pricing in an era of fast food that has deteriorated to the point of being essentially inedible much of the time, while sticking the customer with runaway pricing that would have been laughed at as completely absurd and outrageous prior to 2020.

5 stars all the way, nice to have some cheap, yet great pizza in Downtown GR! I went in at 11:30pm on a Sunday evening and received great service and even better pizza.

So happy the Ann Arbor staple pizza is finally up here in Downtown Grand Rapids. Pizza was excellent, staff was super nice, and place was super clean! Will definitely be back for some more gourmet pizza

Apparently they weren’t prepared for the dinner rush on a Friday night. So do they push customer service and be polite and understanding that you are waiting? Nope they decided to be frustrated and rude when simply asking for an update after already waiting 10 minutes. Two thumbs down for Pizza I can get the same quality as any other chain. So I just cancelled my order.

Highly recommend!!!! The menu had so many amazing choices, so there’s something for everyone, and everything comes out hot and perfectly cooked. On top of that, the staff is friendly, and welcoming. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice or sitting down for a full meal, this spot delivers every time. Easily one of the best pizza places around, and definitely worth coming back to again (and again).

I don’t understand why this place has such high reviews. I used to go to cottage inn as a kid and it was amazing, easily my favorite pizza place. Now? Baby crust is dry, ashy and flavorless. I ordered garlic parm to be brushed on and they failed to do so when they need to make that the standard as dry and bland as their crust is. I also asked for no ham and to add bacon and that instruction was not followed. Pizza is baked oddly with the part that gets the topping being way too thin. If I wanted thin crust I would have ordered that. Traditional crust pizza should be paper thin. Then my breadsticks were just depressing. Dry, hardly any parm cheese or garlic. The only redeeming quality was the sauce. Other than that, I would have gotten better flavor and texture at Little Caesar’s.

We went to this Cottage Inn because we haven’t had it since college. It is such a cute restaurant. The man who waited on us was so friendly and patient while we figured out what we wanted. The food was made fresh while we waited and it was done very quickly. The pizza was amazing and the breadsticks came with a garlic cream cheese sauce that was incredible! It was a great experience, the pizza was better than I remembered!

Disappointed in the service today. Arrived and gave my name and was told it would be just a couple more minutes. Yet after 10 still no food. And 5 minutes after I arrived a gentleman came in and ordered. And oddly HE GOT HIS PIZZA BEFORE I GOT MY FOOD. So 20 minutes after placing the order finally got my food. And while they were polite and apologized for my wait I’m still confused how the guy who ordered 10 minutes after I did got his order first. If you haven’t even started my order tell me that not this couple minutes stuff.
Been a fan of Cottage Inn since it opened up in east town. So I swung in for a quick grab. But I have to say cutting the pizza into 12 slices made me change my mind. You need 2 of those slices to equal Peppinos, Vitos or Fratellis. A little sad as their pizza is good. Just not double their competition price good.

Amazing Pizza amazing service. I would even go as far as to say that the pizza changed my life. Especially the brownie cookie I was sold the moment I saw the picture and it was just as good as I thought it would be. Trust me I will be ordering another. Five stars always!!!
