Reviews
Unlike some other Mexican spots, Cotixan doesn’t offer Tuesday specials or Happy Hour deals—prices remain the same every day. That said, they are famous for their crazy huge portions. The Al Pastor Taco and Carne Asada Taco are loaded with meat, almost spilling out of the tortillas thanks to their generous packaging.
The Al Pastor, while flavorful, can feel a bit dry, and unfortunately, there’s no pineapple included to balance the texture. The Carne Asada is decent, though nothing extraordinary.
The Fish Taco stands out with two deep-fried fish strips on each taco, topped with fresh sliced cabbage for a nice crunch. They also offer two different sauces, both of which complement the tacos well.
While the restaurant doesn’t have an outdoor dining area, making it less pet-friendly, the drive-thru provides a convenient option for those dining with pets. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite on the go or sitting down to enjoy a sunny afternoon meal, Cotixan delivers on portion size and classic Mexican flavors.
Had the Birria tacos, huge serving of birria inside. The Cotixan Fries, absolutely delicious heaped full of meat, spices, pico de gallo, guac and sour cream on a bed of fries. Huge portion. Next time had the birria taco again with the carnitas quesadilla. Again huge portion, absolutely spot on. Highly recommend this place.
Had to drop it down a notch 11/26 after ordering Chicken Taco SALAD. Service was awesome, but there were about 7 thin strands of lettuce. Next time I’ll ask for more lettuce, less beans and fat. Undeniably delicious (yummy salsas) but I truly wanted SALAD with chicken and a wee bit of beans, sour cream, cheese, guacamole ( was delicious! Real avocados!!!) but not a salad by any stretch of the meaning of the word. It’s what I would call a stoned salad. Perfect munchie food. Amazing crispy shell.
They didn’t complain though I was barefoot from the beach.
Also got a chicken soup, some fish tacos, and some carne tacos.
Amazing that this spot is open at 3am and delicious AF!
