This spot was nice to stop at. I intended on taking my food to go, until I heard the fountains and classical music playing. Coy pond with a little bridge as you near the taco shop. Place is also nice because it’s so close to other businesses. I enjoy the Serrano chiles with the radishes at the salsa bar.

The food was tasty. We had a Carne Asada Burritom chilaquiles with eggs. And a kid quesadilla either rice. They have a salsa bar and it’s located in the Village Walk at EastlakePlaza . The area is nice. It has a Koi pond with lots of turtles and a small playground for kiddos.

This place has been opened for about a month, they have access to wheel chairs, the restart is wheel chair friendly, the bathrooms are unisex, the parking is free and plenty. They have a lot of vegetarian options as well as a lot of choices of meat, chicken, beef, lengua, buche, carnitas, adobada. Tacos, breakfast at all times. Tortas, quesadillas, tacos duros. They don’t deliver, you can order ahead and they will have your order once you arrive. Groups can come to eat here, it’s good for vegetarians and others. Drinks they have Horchata & Jamaica , teas, soft drinks. The service is fantastic we loved it, the young lady that helped us was very helpful and very nice. The food was so good we are coming back. There is no alcohol for sale, bar, salad bar. The do have a salsa bar and the salsas are AWESOME!!! the taste was great and completed the good really well. I just love when me restaurants come to town and they really deliver! The cook was very nice and accommodating made for my two kids a couple of changes in the future that were out of the norm with a nice smile on his face. The young girl deliver the food to us as it came out, that was awesome. Got to say so far this is way better that what used to be there before. I’d do close to my office and to my house, I think I’ll be coming back soon to try the lengua tacos with cilantro and salsa verde. Looking forward to do that. At the mean time I’ll leave you with the pictures to check the food out. By y way the prices were very good.

The fish rolled tacos were so disappointing. The tortilla kinda tasted stale. The ones at Cotijas in Bonita and National City are way better and bigger. Place was clean and service was fine.

As fish taco lovers, my wife and I wanted to enjoy fish a fish burrito, but found out that cotijas serves fish tacos at a better price. Let me start off by saying that the customer service at the Eastlake Cotijas was unparalleled. The fish tacos were a perfect balance of tomatoes, cabbage, crispy beer battered fish, with a cream sauce that brings everything together for a nice experience.

Such rude service it makes it difficult to enjoy anything about this place. We placed a fairly large order, and the less than friendly lady assisting us never stopped working and we had to repeat multiple parts of our order to get it correct. I went to grab a soda I had ordered and was told “I didn’t charge you for that” and she proceeded to begin ringing me up again. I wish I hadn’t tipped 20%.
Also their restroom was out of service which was slightly inconvenient. Nearest available was TJMaxx a few stores down.

I’ve eaten at Cotijas in the San Diego area and have had good food. However, the Eastlake location stands out. The food is always delicious and fresh. I have always received fantastic customer service. The individuals that work at the register are always polite and orders accurate. Additionally, the restaurant is extremely clean. I couldn’t be happier!
