The Coterie Restaurant & Oyster Bar is a nice place to eat if you are not in a hurry. The service is friendly but a bit inattentive. The food is very good especially the raw oysters. Weekday happy hour is a real bargain with $14.00 a dozen raw oysters and three dollar a pint on some draft beers. Even at full price it is worth it. A nice atmosphere to eat.

I really wanted to rate this place better, but the service was so weird. Our waitress kept disappearing, and when we tried to find another staff, no one was to be found. The only person there was the hostess, but we didn’t want to bother her because she couldn’t leave her post in case other guests arrived. The entire restaurant was just people dining in while the staff were gone which felt like forever when someone finally appeared from the back. Besides the staff, the food is amazing! I loved the Rockefeller oysters and catfish napoleon so much! Even my Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes were cooked to perfection. My friend said her shrimp and grits were good too, and she ate the entire thing!! She normally has food leftover so I knew it was good when she finished it in one sitting. I would love to recommend this place to other people and to return for more food, but I will be mindful about the service and make note of it to my friends and family who I recommend this place to

Food was awesome! Our server Frank was the man! Very attentive and spot on with his recommendations. The charbroiled oysters were amazing! The garlic shrimp roll was very tasty as well as the seafood gumbo. Be aware that the oyster happy hour special is only available at the bar, which is a bummer 🙁

Monday night we ate at Coterie. It was delicious! I had shrimp with grits. The grits were so creamy. I have never had better. I also had a crazy Cajun cocktail. It was really flavorful and good! The best part was our waiter! He was attentive, happy and pleasant and made our visit even better. He was the best waiter we had all week while on our vacation

Literally the best shrimp and grits that I had in NOLA. We ended up at this restaurant by accident since a nearby restaurant was booked! Best inconvenience ever! Great prices as well. Will definitely be back for the shrimp and grits

I came here for my birthday and the food was GREAT! Our waitress Ariel was awesome and she took good care of us. We ordered the Firecracker shrimp, cajun eggrolls, crab & corn bisque, catfish Napoleon, blackened redfish and crab cake pasta! Mmmmmmmmmmm!!! We will most definitely be back to visit real soon

The food at Coterie is fairly good, albeit a bit pricy for what you get. We tried the Crab and Corn Bisque, Crab au Gratin, and the Surf and Turf Poboy. The poboy was tasty but very salty, and while we enjoyed the bisque, it was a very small portion for $16. Our server really didn’t seem like he wanted to be there – while he was smiling while talking with us, his answers regarding food were very vague, as if he didn’t really know nor care about the menu, and he seemed more interested in checking his phone than serving customers. As for ordering during happy hour, if you have someone under 21 with you, forget it. According to our server, you cannot order happy hour bar items while seated at a table and because my son is 15, he’s unfortunately too young to sit at the bar. It’s a shame really, given that it was our last meal in Nola and we were ready to order one of everything on that happy hour menu along with the poboy, bisque, and gratin to go, but ah well – luckily food isn’t in shortage in Nola, and we ended up stopping by other restaurant to get plenty of other snack and goodies to go.

Beautiful little spot off Canal on the way to the French Quarter. Delicious crab dip, my husband absolutely loved the Cajun Eggrolls, the Shrimp and grits were nice and flavorful, definitely one of the best in town. Super fresh fish on the Po-boy, definitely a must visit spot if you’re looking for good grits!

A family lunch and was happy to see a kids menu. Was disappointed they didnt have any fresh fruit as listed, but my kids were ok with fries. The shrimp po boy was delicious! The debris po boy was just too salty. Our waitress was friendly but swamped so we waited about 5 minutes after being seated before we even gave a drink order.

Bartender amazing can’t knock the happy hour at all, and the service is pretty great, and food is pretty good so there’s nothing I can really say that’s bad about this place but if you want to sit at the bar there may be a wait and that Gator Bite drink is dangerous and that’s a good dangerous.
