Great find in downtown. The covered patio is really beautiful with a lot of plants. The food was outstanding. Drinks were great. Definitely worth checking it out if you’re a local or in town. Seems like the menu changes regularly. We had the fish filet and the lamb, plus some awesome brussels and a dozen oysters.

Patio nights are the best! It feels like a tropical retreat. Warm night but the fans kept it pleasant. I might be able to live forever on the peach and buratta salad. Melt in your mouth deliciousness. We enjoyed them braided lamb neck and fish special. One of my new favorite dinners.

The service was impeccable and they were super sweet and assisted me in regards to my food allergy on the big day. Everybody was more than happy with the food/drinks as well. Energy was amazing and as soon as the sun went down it became even more magical. They made sure it was an incredibly special day and I’m very grateful.

We stumbled onto Coterie one evening after a show at the Charleston Music Hall and had a cocktail in their outdoor patio (covered and heated for winter). We’ve since been back multiple times dragging our friends along to introduce them to this little hidden gem. Creative cocktails created by the bar team and smooth service. We haven’t eaten yet but the cocktail experience is fantastic.

The venue itself is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were wonderful. However, our experience with the owner was disappointing. Communication became difficult, and when issues arose, we did not feel supported or accommodated.
The overall handling of concerns added unnecessary stress to what should have been a joyful day.
Based on our experience, we would not recommend this venue for a wedding.

Bar team was awesome and the food was some of the best I have enjoyed in a long time. The new executive chef, Graham’s menu is a true culinary experience that showcases a wide array of locally sourced ingredients highlighting some of charlestons best purveyors, if you haven’t been by recently you need to because you are missing out. There would’ve been more pictures but the camera did not eat first after the first plate.

The romantic dim lighting, paired with beautiful greenery (which the owner takes care of herself) makes for a truly one of a kind experience.
My mom visited me (college student) from Ohio for a performance I was in. This could not have been a better way to end the night. Humble, respectful, and kind staff. Even better food (The cocktails are also stellar). This is a place you won’t want to miss if you’re getting a cocktails with the girls, celebrating a special occasion, or wanting an upscale yet whimsical atmosphere for a date night in Charleston.
