Food is delicious. Very nice combination of flavors, I will post some photos. Desserts were amazing but I forgot to take photos
The place is very cozy and the music is calm. You will enjoy eating here, do not hesitate to come and eat what you want.
Food is excellent and tasty. Don’t think it’s just a pasta dish or a curry sandwich, it’s quite an experience!
Excellent place to eat! I honestly loved this place!! 100% recommend!
Felt like at home, Francis the waiter was very nice and attentive, the chef came out to check on us twice! Love this place hope to go there again
Was impressed by the delicious smell of fresh baked bread served to us which activated my mouth buds. The bread was crunchy in the outside, very soft and warm in the inside. Some appetizer size cheese tarts were served too. They were very flavorful, buttery and light.
My friend ordered a french onion soup and I ordered escargots. The french onion soup was rich, beefy, earthy but at the same time, light. My escargots were plum, juicy, tender and the broth was perfect to soak bread pieces in each of the holes of the plate.
As a main course it was ordered grilled octopus with Turmeric mashed potatoes and spinach and my friend ordered a skirt steak with roasted potatoes and a Dijon mustard sauce. She indicated that the meat was tender, flavorful and juicy. In my case, the octopus was grilled perfectly, very tender and lightly sweet. The contrast of the earthy Turmeric mashed potatoes and the spinach balanced the seafood taste of the octopus.
For dessert, my friend ordered crepe Suzette and I ordered a mango tart. The smell of the melted chocolate, the lightness of the crepe, the aroma of the Grand Marnier and the sweetness of the cooked orange slice was intoxicating. For me was a torture due to the fact that I am allergic to both chocolate and orange but the smell of the dessert was delicious. My friend enjoy it to the end. My mango tart was flaky, buttery, light, with a balanced taste of mango and spices. Chef Amina was very sweet to come out and sang Happy birthday to my friend and take time to take a picture.
It is great to see a woman as a Chef, in charge of her restaurant who knows how to display her love, passion and dedication in her food. It is worth the visit to her place!
Very Happy we found a wonderful place near home. Perfect for a family dinnertime or romantic night. Beautiful place but The food is Spectacular! Ohh, and dessert must try.
May 5, 2020: adding an update! Although the pandemic has shut down all the restaurants in town, Cote gourmet is offering meal plans (5 gourmet dinners for $99!). Just started my plan today. Picked up my meal and found it was a wonderful delicate white fish with scalloped potatoes and mussels in a sublime butter garlic sauce with a little baguette (when you order your meals, just tell Chef Amina what you will and won’t eat and then you’ll get a surprise every evening). Tres magnifique! Chef Amina is very gifted. Highly recommend take out during quarantine from this fantastic restaurant!
