Around 7:15pm, just as we were about to ask for the bill, a manager approached us in a very rude and confrontational way. He accused us of taking someone else’s reserved table and even implied we had used another person’s reservation name, which was completely untrue. We repeatedly explained that we had confirmed we had no reservation and never used anyone else’s name, but he treated us as if we were lying.
When leaving, we asked for his name to leave feedback, but he refused to give it. He half-heartedly said there might have been a mistake, but the attitude was extremely unprofessional.
The waitstaff were kind, but the manager’s behaviour was unacceptable. Food was average and the overall experience was disappointing. I would not recommend this place.
PS: They also tried to add extra charges to the bill
Never again!!!
We didn’t book but the team found the space to accommodate us.
I had one of the steaks on the menu (my partner the same) and it was cooked to perfection. Excellent quality!
Team overall were friendly and attentive. No complaints at all.
Would highly recommend this place for a nice quality date night!
At that point, a waiter approached us and asked whether we had a reservation. We explained that we did not have one and that we had simply walked in and were shown this table. However, he insisted that when he asked earlier if we had a booking, we had said yes and even mentioned a name. We told him there must have been a misunderstanding because we definitely did not say that.
The conversation became uncomfortable because he implied that we were not telling the truth. By that time it was already around 7 pm and we were about to leave anyway, so I asked what the issue was and why this was being brought up at that moment. It felt quite unpleasant and honestly a bit humiliating.. We asked for the bill immediately and left because the situation had made us very uncomfortable.
I also asked for the waiter’s name but it was not provided. The whole interaction was disappointing and unnecessary, especially considering we had simply been seated by the staff when we arrived. The waiter was a tall (around 1.85m) blond man, which should make it easy for management to identify who was on shift…
As a result, a disappointing attitute ruined the good dinner. I do not recommend this place. Never again.
I ordered the core breakfast. Everything was good — nothing particularly mind-blowing, but still enjoyable. The juice was nice and refreshing, though nothing especially standout. The black pudding was very nice and probably the highlight of the plate. The only small downside was the bacon, which could have been cooked a little more. It wasn’t raw, just slightly limp and a bit underdone, if that makes sense.
Overall, it was a decent breakfast and a pleasant visit.
