Booked a table here for Christmas Day lunch and dined alone—and I couldn’t have felt more looked after. The seating was seamless and welcoming. There was no sense of being rushed or overlooked—just calm, attentive care that made the day feel genuinely joyful.

A special mention to Tim, who was thoughtful and consistently excellent. He suggested a lovely pairing for the Roasted miso parsnips with the Crispy confit potatoes and, importantly, let me know that the sea bream dish I was considering contained small pieces of pork—something I hadn’t realised. That kind of awareness and consideration really matters, especially when you’re dining on your own.

The food was excellent overall, with the King prawn starter and Winter berry log standing out in particular—comforting, well-balanced, and beautifully done.

Warm service, great food, and an atmosphere that makes even a solo Christmas lunch feel full rather than lonely!

My partner and I ate here for valentines with set menu of 2 courses £32.50. This was the côte burger i got and this was not nice at all: the bun was hard and the beef was flavourless. The chips on mine and my partners food were cold and when we got the second portion of chips (which were nice) it wasn’t until we had finished our food. My partner ordered the côte de boeuf which was said to be a £12 surcharge but he was charged £24 because he was eating it himself instead of as a sharing plate – which makes no sense as the food portion stays the same regardless !!!!!!!!!! The service was kind people but very slow which we can understand they were busy but it took a while.
Overall would absolutely not return or reccomend. £100+ bill and went to five guys after as we were so dissapointed.

The food was really tasty. Lovely roast chicken with garlic and rosemary. Good drink menu too. Plenty of sitting as they have two floors. It’s a good place to come to meet friends. The only downside for me is that the table is way too small for us. We had a whole roast chicken and two vegetables as side dishes, and had two small pots of gravy to go with the chicken. There is just not enough spaces on the table for the plates and glasses. 40 pounds for a roast chicken, and 5.50 for the veggie are a bit too pricey in my opinion. The side vegetables are small portions as well. Otherwise, it’s a lovely experience all together. The service was great, food was good, centre location that is easy to get too.

Christmas Lunch- Exceptional service and food, but let down by accessibility and communication:
The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasantly calm. Our waitron, Maximillion, and server, Thea, were both brilliant and provided five-star service throughout the afternoon.

However, we were let down by: Communication: I emailed twice and called twice regarding a pre-order issue, but received no response.
Accessibility: Despite having my elderly mother with us, we were seated upstairs. We were told downstairs was fully booked, yet it remained half-empty for the duration of our visit.
Attention to Detail: we had to ask for the “complimentary” mince pies to be removed from the bill after being charged for them.

The floor staff and kitchen are excellent, but the lack of responsiveness and consideration for mobility was disappointing. While we enjoyed the meal, we will be trying somewhere else next year.

Out for a lovely Christmas meal with friends!
Sadly we were disappointed in so many ways.
It was a busy evening understood it’s Christmas after all.
Firstly where we were sat 2 of our party had to put up with some sort of vibration under there seats and table, were they sat on a generator?
The meal took over an hour and a half to arrive!
The 2 plates of sea bass were salty and over cooked. The turkey roll was cold. And steak was grissley!
Our friend has a few severe allergies which the team were attentive and keen to accommodate, having chosen the meals she could eat she was served a plate of a vegan truffle burger that was so over flavoured she didn’t eat any, (this was taken off the bill at my request) but even the fries came covered in cheese when specifically asked for not due to her allergies.
All in all it was the most disappointing meal.
Oh and when the meals were so late and we asked what was happening we were offered bread!! It’s quite laughable really, no offer of a drink as compensation or any discount off the bill. We spent over £55 per person.
Such a disappointment, and we won’t be back

The food was very nice we had a three course meal before the theatre – starter was very good my husband had the calamari and i had the duck confit and the main was very tasty I had seabass which i would never had normally but was lovely and the dessert was delicious my husband loved the chocolate torte. They were very good with my nut allergy. Our server all was very friendly and helpful. However the only key down was the slowness of obtaining and paying the bill!

Decadent mix of crème caramel with a side of French hot chocolate. Deliciously rich and over indulgent. I enjoyed every second. Service was excellent particular mentions to Massoud, Maksimilian and the lovely lady whom seemed to be running the show effortlessly. Thank you all.
