I come here often but sadly I’m afraid to return. The tortillas were old and hard. I asked them to use fresher ones on my daughter’s plate and they made them right away. The thing that scared me is using my card there. They charge you more to use your card and shortly after leaving the restaurant, something else tried to charge my card the same amount but it said Montayo Handyman. When I called about the concern I got little resolution because we couldn’t understand each other. The food is normally great. If you want to try it use cash only and do not pay with a card. It will get hacked. The women that are usually there weren’t there today. There was a young man and another woman so service was expected to be a bit slower.

Incredibly authentic place. Because I am in Florida, I ordered the sopa de camarones for the freshness. Was not disappointed. The Caldo (broth) was flavorful and spicy, just the way I like it. Menu looks great. Other soups include pozole, menudo, and caldo de res. Great condiment bar to help yourself. I recommend the red and habenaro salsa from the condiment bar instead of the salsa given with the complimentary chips that unfortunately lacked spice and overall taste. Very friendly staff and welcoming. Norteño music to entertain. Can eat at bar with beer available. Spanish highly recommended.

Excellent food and friendly staff. This is a casual low key place with really good food. Chips and salsa was excellent – loved the green salsa. We also had guacamole that was some of the best I’ve ever had. For meals we had enchiladas verde, pastor tacos, and bar-b-q ribs. I thought it was kind of funny that my son got the ribs until I tasted them. They were seriously good – very tender and flavorful. If I get a craving for ribs I’m definitely coming back here. Also, will be coming back for the Mexican food for sure. Try it, you’ll like it!

I ordered a chicken chimichanga, and OMG the queso blanco was amazing. The dish was incredible. And the salsa bar was full of fresh salasa and veggies. I will definitely be dinning there again and it is highly recommended!

Bar/Grill type restaurant. Had menudo and two barbacoa tacos. They have a condiments area with salsas, onion, cilantro, lime and other stuff. Tacos were good, meat had good flavor by itself, it was just a little dry though. Meat was nice and shredded as well. Menudo was also good, came with tortillas and dried Oregano with some fried chillis. Also got the agua Fresca de jamaica,, lacked in taste and was sort of watered down a bit.

Delicious! The food here was way better than any of those fancy chain restaurants and it was affordable! You could feel the pride that went into it. It had a fresh home-cooked quality most places lack. I had a chicken burrito and my friend had steak tacos. The atmosphere feels like a small piece of Mexico. I will revisit!
