Celebrating my daughter’s 15 birthday. Came for the crab tower, but ended up just ordering individual plates. Food was mid! The staff was very nice and came out to sing happy birthday to my daughter. Didn’t really enjoy the soft shell crab sandwich. Had a great taste but when someone tried it they said it wasn’t cooked right… idk, it was my first time trying one. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food though. Follow more reviews IG: Robthefoodguy @eat_n_critique

Absolutely loved my visit to Costas Inn. The food was amazing from start to finish! I had the crab dip, BBQ shrimp with onions, crab cakes, jalapeño crab poppers, oysters, fries, and the vegetable du jour. Everything was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor.

The crab dishes were especially fresh and delicious, and the shrimp was cooked just right. Service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal.

If you love seafood, this spot is a must try. I’ll definitely be back!

1st time visit. It was nice. The crabs were perfect. Well seasoned and meaty. The drinks were on point! The service was top tier. Maddie our hostess was very accommodating and helpful with making recommendations. She was sweet and definitely on board with making it a great experience for us. She even rinsed off a few crabs per our request. Bartender was friendly and engaging. Nice atmosphere

I loved my experience here. My husband and I shared the seafood platter. It came with fish, a nice sized crab cake, shrimp and scallops. Everything on the plate was cooked fresh and delivered that morning. Not only was it confirmed but you could tell by the way it tasted. I have never had seafood that fresh before.
The service was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and answered all our questions. We wil definitely be returning.

My brother and his wife treated us to an anniversary dinner here, and it was a great experience from start to finish. We kicked things off with raw oysters and calamari both fresh and flavorful. For the main course, we had shrimp Alfredo and a dozen crabs.

The shrimp Alfredo was rich and creamy, and the crabs were the star of the show. They were generously coated in Old Bay a little strong on the seasoning, but it didn’t overpower the sweet, fresh crab meat.

Overall, a great spot for seafood lovers and a memorable way to celebrate a special occasion.

21 June 2025 Party of 5 arrived around 4 p.m. with no wait. It was my first time at this establishment. We were seated in the dining area. Our server was not tentative and stood at one end of a rectangle table to take our orders. We had to repeat our requests several times and had no opportunity to ask questions. Due to the distance, the interaction was not comfortable. That said, I ordered the “Chesapeake Sandwich,” which proved to be an epic failure. It is a club sandwich (which is not compatible with my lifestyle as I consume small portions in a sitting). I’ll post the description and see for yourself if you would know it is a club sandwich and fries! Very disappointing. That said, I asked for “no mayonnaise, I don’t eat it.” Well, I received this “shrimp salad” ON this club sandwich saturated in mayonnaise. NO, I did NOT expect it would have mayonnaise. I envision salads as having lettuce and tomatoes, etc! Excepting “Seafood salad ” My exposure. The crabcake was not warm, and the fries cold upon arrival. I asked for hot fries and still did not care for them. That said, the Maryland Crab Soup was delectable! I highly recommend it. There is ample parking. The menu prices are as stated. Portions were small, in my opinion. Overall, I’m totally disappointed with my dish. The staff in passing were friendly and helpful. I would return for the Maryland Crab soup. Ask questions for a better indication of what to expect and improved experience. That was a waste of my man’s money since I found the club distasteful and it was tossed! We did not complain to management.

This is the REAL DEAL! Costas Inn has the best crab cakes in Maryland and has been the sports reporters’ after-game meet-up place for years. We arrived on a Saturday night and were immediately seated amongst a lively and crowded dining room. The trays of freshly seasoned & steamed crabs constantly flew by in the arms of well healed servers after rolling out table sized sheets of brown paper. Eating steamed crabs is an art – an art of being messy with your hands. A taste well rewarded.
This is a fifty-year Baltimore tradition and remains in the second generation as a family owned restaurant. Over 11,000 crabs are sorted PER WEEK for various dishes to be served. If you live in Baltimore, you are likely already familiar with Costas. If you’re visiting, take a night to experience this establishment’s robust menu of appetizers, fresh soups, crab cakes, raw bar selections, salads, pastas and much more. On this night I had fried oysters, broccoli and Mac & cheese. A week earlier we decided to try the newest Costas location in Timonium at the state fairgrounds in the actual grandstand building. I had the jumbo 8 oz crab cake and it was awesome with no filling other than light breading and egg to hold the immense lumps of crab meat together. We started with bowls of Maryland Crab soup. I noticed on the menu that they even have gluten free crab cakes available. All in all, both locations were a great experience from the food to the service and great atmosphere! You won’t be disappointed.

On a recommendation we drove an hour from PA to MD to visit this establishment. We were not disappointed. Our appetizers & entrees included barbecue shrimp wrapped in bacon, saffron rice, a plethora of vegetable medley, fries, buffalo wings, crab cakes, steak, and 1/2 doz large male crabs! OMG! WHAT! My picky eater mother was speechless, and that’s a wonderful sign (wink). No frills location and Highly recommend!

Costas Inn is a charming, budget-friendly place that feels more like staying with friendly locals than a big hotel. The location in the heart of Spili makes it super easy to explore the small town and nearby sights, and guests often praise the clean, comfortable rooms and the homemade-style breakfast that includes local treats. The owner and host are usually genuinely warm and helpful, making you feel welcome and giving great tips for discovering the area.

It’s simple and not fancy — but if you’re after a relaxed stay with personal touches, good value, and a real taste of local hospitality, Costas Inn hits the mark.
