I had the shredded beef burrito. It was a big burrito filled mostly with rice. For what you get for the price you pay, there are better values. I will say that the young man who served me excellent, friendly professional and courteous.

Chili Verde enchiladas were very good. Service and cleanliness is not good. Some of the Staff were rude and no one was cleaning the lobby or tables. There was trash on the floor and tables. Staff seem to have no direction or care…it’s just a job…sad.

After experiencing Chipotle for the first time recently, this place is just alright.

Went after work tonight and ended up waiting 45 minutes in line in the drive through before I got my food. The lady taking orders was very friendly but I noticed that there is lots of room for improvement in customer service at the window. Also not sure why it they decided to place the order menu so close to the delivery window. You can be stuck in line 12 cars back and only the first two or three cars have put an order in. If they moved the ordering menu a little farther down the line of cars, it would solve a lot of inefficiencies (look at Chick-fil-a as an example) and put a little more pressure on the staff to crank out food faster.

They were out of shredded beef, so I went with steak. The tacos were very hot, corn tortillas were freshly made, and fresh ingredients were on them by the time I got them. Unfortunately, whatever the steak was seasoned with was very salty. The price is just barely on the edge of where you feel like you have been gouged for what you do get. Also, the pico and rice are loaded with cilantro, so that may turn some people off.

Will I return? Sure. It’s hard to find decent Mexican food in Kalispell and if I have to go to a Chipotle wanna-be once in a while to get my fix, then so be it. Just don’t look for me being joining the Costa Vida fan club any time soon.

The quality of the food was not very good. I ordered a sweet pork taco and a shredded chicken taco with black beans and rice. The rice was undercooked, still crunchy, the beans were hard like they had been microwaved straight from a can. The pork was way too sweet, but otherwise totally bland. The chicken had a better texture than the sweet pork, but seems like seasoning had never touched the meat before.

With the existing reviews for this place, I’m willing to accept that this was a one off, but my experience was not a positive one in the least bit.

Edit: I let the restaurant know about my experience and they offered to have the food remade. I declined just because I don’t get the sense that the food can get much better.

I had the grilled chicken salad and was surprised at the generous size of the serving. Loved it. Staff was friendly and the line moved fast. Anxious now to start ordering some of the burritos and work my way through them. Pricing was very reasonable. Will be back soon.

Food was very fresh and tasted quite good! Employees here are very nice and friendly. They make an effort to get to know you if you are a repeat customer. Fiesta Bowl (burrito fixings in a bowl, no tortilla) was delicious and filling. If you like tortilla chips they make their own and season them with salt & lime. Definitely going here again!

Great Mexican food. Lots of fresh ingredients and toppings. I ordered a steak salad and it was delicious, the beans and rice are well seasoned and the guacamole is fresh. The prices are reasonable and the service was prompt. Loved it and would definitely go back if I’m in the area.

Decent line but they move quickly and get orders going so that’s great. Got the sweet pork tacos with rice and salsa fresca. Tacos were good, but I guess I wasn’t expecting it to taste literally like a pulled pork taco. Rice also has a decent amount of hard bits of undercooked rice. Salsa was good with some chips.

I enjoyed being here today as it was my first time. The burrito I ordered was freshly made including the tortilla. It was filling and the price was good. The person who made our meal was nice and knowledgeable. All and all a good experience.

To start off, I would like to say that I have been to Costa Vida many times. When it first opened I thought it was quite good and I went back many times. After about 1-2 months, in my opinion, I thought that the quality went down tremendously. I noticed that when you went through the drive through, they often messed up your order. Soon after I noticed that, the drive- through closed for around 2-3 months. With that being said, I still went back because when they do get your order right, they are really quite good. With that being said, here is why I’m giving it a one star review.
I went in and ordered a salad to go about 2 weeks ago. I was about half way done with it and I had just taken a bite and there was a BUG, (a beetle of some sort,) crawling around on top of my lettuce. Not only was I stunned and grossed out, but I also thought about the bugs a may have already eaten. Up until that point, I was enjoying my salad! If you would like some good quality Mexican cuisine I suggest you not eat at Costa Vida.
Edit: I wanted to give Costa Vida a second chance a few months later to see if it was just a fluke accident, but I found several fruit flies in the lettuce in my salad.
