The chicken liver mouse is a favorite, and the bread is amazing. I’ve only had the pizza once but it was tasty. There’s an outdoor space, an indoor dining room and a bar. It definitely gets a little busy so be prepared to wait a bit. Overall I would go back and try other items. The drinks were good the staff and bartenders are all friendly and energized. I do recommend this spot. They also validate parking but you’ll still have to pay a fee.
We ordered:
Kampachi & Scallops to start 5/5 (so much flavor wow)
Italian dumpling salad and mozzarella sticks (great options if you love cheese) the mozzarella sticks were freshly made, lively seasoning and the dumpling salad was unique and delicious with a chili onion crunch in every bite.
Funghi town pizza and the Lo Spagnolo Ricco ( uni butter/ Spanish clams) I am a mushroom girl and the funghi pizza exceeded expectations!! The uni butter on the Lo Spagnolo Ricco was delicious; however, it was a unique taste I wasn’t expecting. The clams come on the side & overall it was one of the most unique things I have tried, so if you’re feeling a bit adventurous, go for it!
For dessert we got the chocolate peanut butter budino, our server described it as a deconstructed snickers bar- the perfect explanation as it tasted exactly like that. This paired with a decaf cappuccino was the night cap.
Loved the ambiance, the service, and the food. Will definitely be back. Cheers!
All of the dishes were worth ordering, except the Butter Beans, skip those.
Service was solid, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is interesting, kinda retro 80’s vibe. Outdoor space is nice.
Yes, the food and service met our expectations. Though Ocean Park offers Vitos and Il Forno nearby, I enjoyed the different atmosphere and your fresh spin on popular dishes. The 3 of us ordered the following:
•House bread w Chicke liver all’alimento
•Whipped baccala
•Scallop crudo
•Caesar salad
•Italian dumpling salad
•Funghi Town pizza
•Lo Spangnolo Ricco pizza w uni butter, topped with Spanish clams (tin can)
We wanted to try many dishes knowing we’d take some home. However none of us ordered any of the drinks nor cocktails. From the look of the drinks passing by and from nearby tables, the cocktails looked small (portion-wise) but beautiful. I will try next week when we visit again with others.
My final comment is that the guest service staff has room for improvement: We were seated but and we had different people taking our order, asking how our meal was, even asking for our bill – we didnt know who was our waiter! Was it the lady who sat us? Was it the man who took our order but said our waiter was on a break? Who was our waiter? But the man who took our order saw my confused, puzzled look and asked one of the outside patio waiters to close out my bill and pay. There is always rooms for improvement.
No worries, I’ll be back next week and will update and post more new different food options.
Everything was fantastic but the star of the show for us was a split between the blue fin appetizer and the shrimp scampi. Packed with incredible flavor with high quality ingredients.
We’ve already made our resy to return on July 25!
The margherita pizza is the one standout with its well-executed dough. It’s competent, and a welcome from the sugar-forward items that preceded. For the chicken milanese, the chicken itself is nicely cooked, but it’s buried under an exorbitant amount of super sweet cherry tomatoes that tip the whole dish. Service is generally attentive with staff stretched thin but staying polite and professional. Until the kitchen dials back the sugar, Cosetta remains a place uneven on the plate and the palate.
