Truckee is our frequent get away from the Bay spot, so my boyfriend and I have gotten to explore many of the establishments here. This spot in particular, we have dined at three times now and it’s our #1 go to spot in Truckee. This little hidden gem is the best in town! Being from the Bay Area, it’s hard to find great food in Truckee that I would return to, but this place is IT! We always get the salmon hash, short rib hash and side of pancakes. The place is small, but there’s plenty of seating outside. We always try to make it here early before the brunch crowd, so seating inside is never a problem for us. Service is always so friendly and helpful, 5/5.

Awful. Don’t let the corner store bakery next door fool you into believing that food other than baked goods is good here. Honestly one of the most disappointing lunches of my life. The food was greasy and the chips tasted like fish, probably due to old oil used. Salad was completely tasteless. They claimed it was balsamic but you’ll never know, tastes just like plain oil. Sandwiches are soggy and covered in mayo. The entire place is so cramped that you literally touch people as you squeeze yourself in standing in life. Coffee is the worst I ever had. Espresso tatted like drip coffee, super watered down. The only thing that was good here is their baked goods.

Let’s start with the service. The woman at the till was so helpful with my allergies, extremely patient with my order, and incredibly friendly. Five stars for her alone! Wish I got her name for the review.
The salad was also great. Can’t remember the name, but I can remember the Brussels sprouts and quinoa 🙂 solid gluten free options and a big portion

Good food, nothing mind blowing. Got the Turkish eggs and chicken protein salad bowl. Both were yummy and clean but nothing terribly exciting as far as flavors go. Very little chicken in the salad.

Just stopped here for a quick lunch between Sacramento and Tahoe.
Order at the front, and the dishes will later be brought to your table.
The food was just so-so but service was fast and friendly. In fact, we had breakfast rather than lunch. The bread was delicious and eggs cooked as requested. The home-made sausage patty was acceptable but not as good as a supermarket patty – would benefit from more fat, more fennel, and more maple syrup.
The proprietors are a Filipino couple, and as a Filipino (still living in the Philippines) I’m glad we were able to patronize this bakery/restaurant.
Parking across the street is Pay.

Do you want local, high quality food? The best way to describe this new kitchen is that they treat food full of integrity, and because of that it’s one of the best local breakfast/brunch/lunch in all of Tahoe. They treat each dish particularly and we are very impressed with the high quality and attention to detail for each food item. This kitchen would challenge any boutique breakfast/brunch spot in the Bay Area, but we now have it here in Truckee. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had and by far the best potatoes (which come on the side with every breakfast sandwich). Come check this place out and let’s keep this wonderful spot around because they deserve it. Cheers mate

Awesome brunch spot, I had the Cornerstone Croquette Breakfast, which was incredibly tasty with over medium eggs on top! Highly recommend pairing it with the pepper sauce. Be sure to grab coffee & pastries at their adjoining bakery!
The spot has limited seating though, and is not very convenient for big groups, or those who need accessible tables.

The quality of the food you can taste and it is delicious. But it is quite pricey for the portions. I’ve had breakfast a few times now and it seems to depend on who the cook is at the time for how great your sandwich will be made. One day my sandwich was stacked and plated beautifully and the sandwich held together well and then may be a week or two later I got the same sandwich but it was falling apart in my hands and it didn’t feel like food I was the last time I got it. So they need to work on their consistency a little bit but the quality of their food is very good.

What a treat! We had a nice easy-going breakfast with wonderful bread (and other fresh ingredients). We enjoyed the option to have a classic breakfast or something a little more modern — the Turkish eggs were spectacular.
The Kitchen is a “pub-style” building right next door to the bakery — you order at the counter and they’ll give you a number for you table. It’s small (four tables) but wonderful. We expect it will soon be packed but we’ll be back time and time again.

Amazing! The best brunch spot in Truckee that’s not a sweets overload. They have the tastiest bread and sausages. My favorite dish is the granola bowl, it has so much delicious fruit and honey on top of the yogurt. I would highly recommend.
