I want to be clear: this review has nothing to do with the food or the line-level staff at Corner Tavern and Bar. In fact, we were looking forward to a great night out. This is strictly about a management decision that feels like a blatant cash grab. Our party of five headed out to watch the Super Bowl, expecting a lively atmosphere. Instead, we were met at the door with the news that there was a $75.00 cover charge just to walk through the door. To be clear, that $75 didn’t go toward a single wing or a beer, it was a flat fee for the “privilege” of entry. Paying $75 for a group of five just to sit down is absolutely outrageous. What makes it even more baffling is that neither team playing in the Super Bowl this year were even local. There is no logical reason to gouge loyal customers like this.
It’s incredibly disappointing because this practice directly contradicts the company’s own stated core values. Per their website, their mission claims:
“We value people and making them feel special. Commitment, consistency, quality and passion for delivering the highest-quality food and customer service are the hallmarks of our business.”
Charging a massive entry fee before a customer even sees a menu doesn’t make people feel “special,” it makes them feel exploited. If the “hallmark” of your business is customer service, you might want to rethink pricing models that alienate your community. We took our business elsewhere and won’t be rushing back. Please do better Dominick and Raquel (owners).

We visited for lunch on Friday and were seated immediately. The food came pretty quick after we ordered.
– Old fashioned burger with fries: the portion was big. The patty was well cooked and the buns were soft and fluffy. The burger tasted good. The fries were ok: hot and crispy but tasted like store bought.
– Lobster roll with chips: they gave generous portion of lobster meat. The lobster was perfectly cooked (not chewy) but it was lack of flavor. The bread part was good and soft but it was only one slice of bread. I wish that they gave bigger so I could enjoy it with the lobster meat. The chips are my favorite! They are crispy & thin and perfectly seasoned.

My favorite secret casual dining Folsom spot with a CHEF♡ I love it when my husband wants to meet here for dinner. We sit at the bar- quick chat with the great bartender, order a nice Pino and a great beer to go with the out-of-this-world “Chefs Special Prime Rib”. Cheers! KitchenBathDesignByGloria

The Corner is one of our favorite restaurants! The food is delicious, the staff is super friendly & the atmosphere is so laid back. In addition to the Restaurant their catering is amazing! We’ve had them cater a few of our large family events and everyone loves the food.

Great restaurant off the beaten path. No fighting with large shopping center patrons for parking. The Corner Tavern looks unassuming but packs a punch with excellent food and friendly staff. We had garlic cheese flatbread, mac and cheese and the prime rib dip. They were all excellent with large portions. Will come back

This place leaves me in awe! The service is nothing short of exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff who anticipate your needs. Delicious food!!! It’s down the street from where I live and I have always wanted to try them. My husband got the burger and the meat patty was a great size with thick cut bacon. I got the prime rib dip, the meat was so flavorful and tender, and the garlic aioli & arugula really make the sandwich!! The house chips are crunchy and fresh.

Soup was very delicious and affordable (tomato). They could do a mini pizza bread with it instead of the plain butter toast. Everyone else seemed to like their meals – pizza, pastrami, calzone. Chips
are homemade and very good. Hoping their speed of service improves (took us 1.5 hours at lunch :-/) but Dominick came to give us a very warm welcome and tell us the story of how the restaurant came about. I’m sure service will improve in the future!
Prices are a bit high for lunch but average for dinner. Cocktails were $12, but I think that’s because he said they make their own fruit juices every morning. I definitely look forward to coming back!
