Cozy little spot with excellent service and great coffee.
The Corner Cafe in Newport feels cozy and welcoming, and everything is clean and well kept. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and kept our great-tasting coffee hot and refilled. It’s an easy place to recommend for a relaxed visit with good coffee and warm service.

11.29.25 worth the wait in line! They use beautiful mugs for your coffee. The portions are great. The home fries are the best seasoned ones I’ve ever had. The presentation of our breakfast was nice. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasty. And most importantly, the service was spot on. We were a group of 4 and we all loved our 1st time visiting here.

There’s a reason there is a line out the door! The waitstaff is friendly and helpful, the food is great and plates are heaped high. I judge a place by the home fries and these were large chunk of potatoes, well seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle- perfection! the coffee comes in large mugs and even the decaf is good. Try the bolos (a sort of Portuguese English muffin.)

We ate at a lot of places on our trip and most were epic fails, this place was not that! Really wonderful breakfast. It was so refreshing to get quality fresh ingredients, not just canned items called “fresh”. I got the California Benedict two days in a row, it is delicious. My friend got the Home fry fiesta, and LOVED IT; I sampled, it was very good. The home fries are out of this world; They have an amazing savory flavor to them!!! I highly recommend the multi grain bread, it is also wonderful.
Get there early as it does fill up fast.
The only things I think that could be a bit improved are the poached eggs, they were a bit undercooked both days we went.
The service was good but we spent a lot of time waiting to cash out.
Despite these minimal improvements. I highly recommend the corner cafe for breakfast!

Had a great experience grabbing lunch here today! Our meals were amazing. I highly recommend the Bon Bon Burger, the guac tasted fresh and paired well with the burger. Service was great and the cafe was such a vibe!

Yum, yum, yum! The cutest little corner diner with an extremely big delicious breakfast menu, but I was here to get some lunch. I tried the black bean and sweet potato burger with house salad and the cappuccino and everything was delicious!! Everyone here is just dressed in their own clothes, just a real laid-back diner with outdoor seating under canopies, so you’re not blazing in the sun. While I was waiting in line, yes there was a line, two people walking out both commented and how delicious the breakfast was and it was their first time here. A must try in Newport Plus it’s not on the main road with all the tourists which is why I went down this way. I was told that Broadway St. was where you wanted to eat, better places, more locals.

Corner Café is such a cute, authentic little spot with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We visited on Presidents’ Day, and even though it was packed and busy, the staff immediately made us feel comfortable — “come sit here, come sit here” — and quickly found seats for the two of us.
It truly feels like a family-run place. Everyone was friendly, the energy was lively, and the service was impressively quick despite how full it was.
The food was delicious, with great gluten-free options. My latte with oat milk came out perfectly, and the berries with my avocado toast were fresh and vibrant.
