Can’t state enough how fun it is to have such a creative menu that offers more than just barbecue in a cool setting. Underrated place.
The Gigantoroll is a cinnamon roll lovers heaven. If you like cinnamon rolls, than this is a must.
The cornbread pudding is simply the most moint cornbread in existence. Big yes on this.
As apps we had the cornbread pudding, candy bacon strips, and mini cornbread muffins. All of those were super good! Candy bacon is a 10/10!!
Service and atmosphere felt top notch for a BBQ place or restaurant in general! Casual dinning, date night, or family event.. all recommend!!
Overall first time we have been there but not the last!
We had the smoked beef rib which is a Saturday special and I don’t possess the language to describe how amazing it was! Pig candy (candied bacon) was probably the best we’ve ever had. Burnt ends, skillet mac, ribs, pickled red onions(!), absolutely delicious. The BBQ sauces were great, I liked the pepper vinegar and mustard especially!
Clean restaurant, nice restrooms and awesome atmosphere to boot. Absolute must stop here!
We stopped by Cornbread Barbecue and overall had a very solid experience — some definite highlights and a few areas that fell short of expectations.
Starters:
We kicked things off with the bacon, Brussels sprouts, and wings. The sprouts and wings were good, but I was expecting a bit more. The pork belly in the Brussels sprouts, along with the bacon app, were the real standouts — rich, flavorful, memorable, with a snappy texture. The wings were juicy and well-cooked, but lacked the bold flavor I was hoping for.
Main Course:
We sampled a spread of turkey, sausage, brisket, ribs, beans, corn, and of course, cornbread.
• Turkey: Hands down the star of the plate — incredibly moist and packed with flavor.
• Sausage: A strong second, flavorful with a great snap.
• Ribs: Solid, but not mind-blowing.
• Brisket: As a huge brisket fan, I found this a little underwhelming. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t quite hit the high bar I was hoping for.
• Beans: An absolute must-try. Smoky, hearty, and delicious.
• Cornbread: Heavenly — perfectly sweet and fluffy, everything you want in a barbecue cornbread.
• Corn side: Sadly, a miss. It was mushy and lacked seasoning or character.
Among their sauces, the pepper vinegar was my favorite — it really added a nice kick to everything it touched.
Service:
Top notch. Even though the team seemed fairly new, they were friendly, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. 10/10 on hospitality.
Overall:
While there were a few dishes that didn’t quite deliver, there were plenty of hits to balance it out. Between the standout turkey, bacon, pork belly, beans, and cornbread, there’s definitely reason to return — and I absolutely would.
