We came here last night after the autoshow, the food, atmosphere and service was outstanding that we decided to come back again for brunch. Our server Chrissy Love was absolutely amazing and the food was just as good. We had to get take out orders to take back to Ohio. Great job team, the food and service was AMAZING!!!!

I tried this restaurant the same day I found out about it. First, there are two different prices listed for food. Second, the portions for the prices are ridiculous. I got the rib tip meals with Mac and green beans, the perch meal with Mac and greens, and extra side of red bean and rice and okra. I ended up buying extra cornbread, as the entrees didn’t note cornbread is included. The perch “filets” are not filets at all but tenders. 23$ for this. The green beans had too much vinegar, the greens had so many stems in them and they weren’t cooked down. The sauce for the rib tips were good, but the meat was chewy. The red beans and rice were spicy. The wings were salty, and I ordered them because I didn’t not the perch would be so small. The okra were soft and had a lot of breading. The cornbread was super hard. The front of house service was amazing. The ladies were super nice and helpful. At the end of it all, I feel this restaurant does well because there aren’t a lot of soul food options in the area, and it’s is a decent looking place. However, its overpriced and underwhelming.

We had rib tips, fried catfish, fried turkey chops, sweet potatoes, mac n cheese, & collards. And I got to sample the gumbo (my first time trying it), which was delish. The catfish was very nicely fried. All the other meats were tender and everything was good and tasty! Friendly staff. Great service. Didn’t have to wait long to get our food.

The food was soooo good. Rib tips, mini cornbread muffins, greens, gumbo, etc….I finished the red beans and rice before I realized that I hadn’t taken a picture yet. Everything Donya brought to the table was delicious and the service was also on point. Donya was friendly, helpful and the perfect amount of attentive. Will return and would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys great food, service and atmosphere.

No complaints. Food was pretty good except the greens and all them dam stems……. other then that everything else was up to par. The waitress was cool didnt check on us enough had to look for her or ask someone else for the thing we needed. That only took away from her tip. But not a bad place to chop it up wit good company.

Great dinning experience, our son took my wife and I for our anniversary. The atmosphere is casual and the hostess was welcoming and our waitress was friendly. The food was delicious, we had the bayou combo. It was rib tips and wings and fried catfish with sides of Mac and cheese and red beans and rice. And the cornbread that was brought out before the meal was warm and very good. My dessert was a very good chocolate cake. We will definitely be going back again.

Service was a 10/10 everyone was so welcoming. The mac and cheese and sweet potatoes was great taste just like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. Chicken was fried a little too hard for me but was still very tasty.

10/10 food was hot, fresh and delicious! This place seems to be black owned which is a major plus for me! For my first time coming I truly enjoyed myself. The service was great our server was nice she answered all our questions and was very informative. I ordered the “big back breakfast” which came with fish, wings, a waffle , eggs and grits with a side of collard greens. It was all flavorful the grits didn’t need anything but a spoon. The fish and chicken were both seasoned very well. I got a blue Kool-aid and a blue tequila slushy drink which were both good. The atmosphere was chill and clean the music was wonderful not too loud but loud enough to where you don’t feel like you’re yelling at the person you came with! I will be back and I’ll bring my greedy friends with me.
