Interesting atmosphere in an older, charming building. We sat outside, and the server was more than accommodating and checked on us frequently. But all four of us decided that our drinks (four different drinks) were less than expected. Two of us even mentioned that they might be the worst cocktail we’ve ever had. His was the Scotland Yard, and mine was the Checkmate. The checkmate apparently claimed to be an Old Fashioned, but unlike other drinks, didn’t mention any of the ingredients.
Many of the other reviews are really positive, so maybe this was just one random bad experience, but I wouldn’t go back for drinks.

Tasty cocktails. So far, we’ve enjoyed the Mrs. Peacock, Risk, & Weasley and Sons. I haven’t tried the wine yet…
Excellent Whiskey Cork Board (food) — smoked cheeses, crackers, sausage, dried cranberries, beet chips & preserves.
Friendly service.
Fantastic vintage atmosphere in a historic downtown building with multiple seating options indoors, including a few outdoor tables and chairs.
CORK & Board is connected to the Capitol City Cinema. If you order food and/or drinks, you can take it into the theater while watching a movie (if you purchased tickets).
Various table games available.
Sometimes have live music.
Free street parking in front and some parking available in back.

This is a gorgeous location with a quaint and dainty feel. Perfect for drinks and hanging out. They have tons of board games and even host chess nights on Tuesdays. My 7 year old learned some things about how to play chess and the folks there were very friendly. As far as food goes: they have a candy dish appetizer which is fun while playing games. Just don’t make the mistake we did! We ordered M&M’s and Skittles which came in the same dish and got them confused more than once lol! My kiddos liked the grilled cheese sandwiches. I had a sort of open faced ham and Swiss that was good but heavy. The Mac n cheese had a bunch of nutmeg in it which was not good at all everyone at our table tried it and not one of us could stomach it which is not normal. (We’re a bunch of foodies)

I love spending time here!! From playing trivia on Thursday nights, to enjoying one of their various board games (always with a drink in hand), it’s always a fun time!

Love this place. Great small-plate type of food options. Full bar. Sometimes an acoustic musician. Tons of games to choose from, and their website contains a link to a video of instructions for virtually every game! Great date night place or meeting place. Quiet enough to have a conversation and play. Nightly specials and themes.
Great little hidden gem.

Great place to drink and play games. Good pours and great selection of games. I didn’t make it upstairs but the ground floor is really small and narrow. That’s the only thing. When it’s busy, it’s hard to move around.

We took the train from lees summit missouri to jeff city for the day and ended up at Cork & Board! It is such a fun, quaint place with over 150 board games to choose from. The owner was so welcoming and nice that we will certainly be back!

Go! Sit down, have a drink, grab a game, order some food (spinach & artichoke dip is awesome)! Husband & I were just passing through and stumbled upon. Weren’t sure when we walked in, but SO glad we stayed. Had a great time.

This venue is warm and inviting. The sandwiches were good and the pricing was reasonable. We were able to play games as long as we liked as well and they had many selections. The staff was friendly and helpful too. I will definitely return and recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing night out.
