Cork and Table serves refined food in an intimate, unpretentious setting in Historic Downtown Fredericksburg, engaging guests through innovative menus designed around carefully selected wine pairings, drawn from the most dynamic winemaking regions throughout the world. We tailor the experience to the needs of each table, providing attentive and responsive service with our gluten-free, vegan, and ovo-lacto vegetarian menu options. Our Chef/Owner, James Fallon, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America who has been certified by the Washington Sommelier Society, has developed a full range of a la carte menu options but his specialty lies in crafting three and four course fixed price menus, both available with wine pairings.

We had the pleasure of dining at Cork and Table for our anniversary, and it truly made the evening special. We both chose the four-course meal, which gave us the chance to try dishes we wouldn’t normally order. For example, I went with the Puree of Roast Parsnips for my soup, something I’d never tried before, but our server mentioned it was her favorite, so we gave it a shot. It was delicious! Every course was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was excellent , friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable. We’ll definitely be back!

I took my husband here for Father’s Day for the first time. The atmosphere was really nice and quiet. The service and food were phenomenal! I I found the portions to be a decent size so you can finish every course. We got the crab and corn chowder, the duck breast salad, the smoked salmon salad, filet and shrimp, crab crusted salmon, sticky toffee pudding, and the cheesecake. Everything was delicious, especially the main courses! We definitely cleaned the plates ! We will definitely be returning!

As foodies who appreciate exceptional cuisine and fine dining experiences, my husband and I were impressed with our date night evening at Cork and Table. We made reservations for a Wednesday evening and it felt like we had the restaurant to ourselves. We chose the cheese tasting for two and the six-course chef’s tasting menu, and each dish was a thoughtfully and elegantly plated and some featured a creative use of plant-based ingredients that I really enjoyed such as quinoa, chickpeas, coconut milk and agar gelatin. I’m not a big watermelon fan, but the watermelon salad was a dish I could eat a whole bowl of!
What really set the experience apart was being personally served by Jim, the chef and owner. His hospitality, passion, and culinary artistry elevated the meal into something truly memorable.
The menu changes with each season, so we plan to come back and try future menus. From start to finish, it was an intimate and refined dining experience that we’ll be recommending to fellow food lovers.

My husband and I have been here a few times for date night. The food is genuinely very good and flavorful, but the overall experience hasn’t matched the higher-end price point.
Service felt rushed and not very attentive, which took away from what should feel like a relaxed, upscale dinner. Small details also disappointed us — like basic, dull knives that made the food hard to cut. We were also surprised to see store-bought salad mixes being used in the kitchen, which didn’t feel in line with a “luxury” dining experience.
Good food, but the service and finishing touches need improvement to justify the cost.

A very rustic vibe with great tasting steaks. We sat at the bar, had some cocktails and decided to order some steaks. Bar is fully stocked with multiple type of whiskey. Overall it was a pleasant date night. Recommend
