We stopped in Santee on our drive back from Florida to Virginia and ended up finding Cork and Barrel — honestly such a great surprise. The atmosphere was on point and the bartenders were awesome, super friendly and always checking in to make sure we were good. I had the burger and it absolutely hit the spot, and my buddy ordered the pork chop which was just as good. We came in on a Friday night and the place was packed, but in a good way. Joshua Graham was playing live music and really set the vibe for the night. We’ll definitely be stopping back in next time we pass through Santee.

They say first impressions last a long time. My wife and I did not have a good first visit. The server was nice and tinitive. The creamer for coffee was sour turned to cheese once it hit the hot beverage. Our flat breads looked and tasted like the just came out of a freezer. I wish this astonishment all the best. I would not recommend to any of my friends.

Let start with the food, Outstanding. We shared the tomahawk steak cook rare it was spot on with outstanding flavor, I would say better than Salt lick in Las Vegas NV or even Morton… the asparagus was not over cooked and had very good flavor, I would suggest light sauce with it to put it over the top. I had the Caesar salad it was also very good though I would suggest chilling the bowl before serving before serving. Now to dessert we had the chocolate fondue… over the top outstanding the pretzel was the best I have ever had in my life. Moving on to service. We were lucky to have Marty, she was outstanding never let our drinks run out and fast our plates as we finish our meal. Now atmosphere, I would suggest to tone down the music and do something about the smoke from steering the steaks in the kitchen but other than that, a great environment, definitely a place to put on your list to have lunch or dinner. We will be back to try several other things on the menu and we will update as we try each of them

It’s the kind of place that works for a date night, a dinner with friends, or even just grabbing drinks and appetizers.
The food was genuinely delicious and the menu has a lot of good options. Everything we tried tasted fresh and well made, and you can tell they put effort into the flavors and presentation. The drinks were also a highlight. They have a really good selection and everything we ordered was made perfectly.
The service was another big plus. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without being overbearing. It just made the whole night feel relaxed and enjoyable.
Overall, Cork and Barrel is definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re in the Santee area and looking for a place with great food, a fun vibe, and solid service. We’ll definitely be back.

We were traveling from North Carolina back to Florida and this is a trip that we make quite often. This time we decided to stop a few hours in and get something to eat and sleep and resume our drive the next day. Anyway, I specifically searched for good, local food with cocktails as well as a decent hotel and this came up. It met every expectation! The location itself is small and in a strip plaza, but every table was packed at about 8 PM on a Saturday night.We had just a few appetizers. The meatballs were amazing and the tuna, and remember, I’m from Florida, were equally amazing! The owner himself made me an awesome lemon drop martini. I have a very extensive menu as well as I’m not kidding you a three page drink and cocktail menu. If you’re traveling through on 95 you owe it to yourself to stop here. I should mention that I am very picky with everything. I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Traveling from Florida to North Carolina. Happy to find this place off i95 to eat before an overnight and continuing our drive. Terrific service. Cozy atmosphere great beer and wine selections We both enjoyed a burger and fries. Owner checked on us a few times and hostess and waitress were top notch If we find ourselves in the area again we will return hear for another good meal
