This specific franchise location was purchased by new owners recently and has gone massively downhill. I have attached images of what portion sizes used to be like(image 1) and what they are like now with new owners(image 2).
You can see the steak going from freshly sliced and cooked to order (med rare) to now being precooked well done and reheated as needed. The steak was stored in a paper cup with lid meant for sides, then I watched the employee pop the top and throw on the grill to reheated it. This is a massive decrease in quality.
Also you can see the portions going from great to laughable.
Is this the new normal under Clarisa de Luna-Villaflor’s leadership? I like to come here when I’m in Louisville but won’t be coming anymore if this is the new normal.
Also the new employees didn’t understand the meal I’ve always gotten which is steak with 2 sides, he said I had to get rice at first not knowing that this is a common meal.
At this point, it’s false advertising to continue to advertise a fresh cut steak.
I need to know if this will be how it is going forward so that I don’t have to waste my time coming here again or if things will go back to the way they used to be.

Used to love coming here, it’s clear some things have changed. Food was okay, more focused on the amount of dirt, dust, and grease just visible from the customer standpoint. Can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Trash outside overflowing, dust in high areas above dining tables, vent covered in buildup right above register area. Really need to get this cleaned. Unfortunately I won’t come back 🙁

FOOD POISONING! DO NOT GO HERE! I am so sad to write this. I loved this place, and frequented here, but last night my family and I went and I got the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had. I spent the entire night violently throwing up and running to the bathroom. My stomach is wrecked. I was the only one in my family who ordered steak as the protein and i’m guessing it was that, but honestly, I don’t know. It was weird to me because normally when they make steak it’s fresh, but it seemed re-heated and lukewarm. I convinced myself it was fine, but I should’ve listened to my instinct. I will NEVER be returning. The health department needs to get here ASAP to figure out what’s going on. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the restaurant has gone downhill in quality recently, but this was absolutely unacceptable. I wanted to save time by eating out last night and I should have just eaten a peanut butter and jelly sandwich from home. So so sick, all night long. Beware! Beware!

The girl Aja working was absolutely a gem! I wasn’t having the greatest morning when I came in. She instantly greeted as soon as I walked thru the door. She gave suggestions on what items were good, and I thoroughly enjoyed my Thai noodle bowl and Brussels sprouts!!

Empty at 5:00 pm employees were not quite welcoming. They threw the pita bread once it was wrapped in foil paper. Paid $18 plus for salad, naan, drink 10oz. Not sure why it’s labeled craft drink it’s from the fountain machine. See receipt

My new favorite lunch place in Louisville. Amazing healthy options, awesome hearty portions, so delicious. Something for meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, etc. Several tables outside for those who prefer outside dining. Can’t wait to return!

I’ve tried this place several times, genuinely hoping it would improve, but each visit has been more disappointing than the last. The food quality is inconsistent at best, and the service is consistently slow and inattentive. Even during slower hours, the the staff seems overwhelmed or just not wanting to help you.

Arrived at 7:15 on a Saturday night (closes at 8) and doors were open (with a gentleman being served in the line). We (a family of 5) were told the restaurant closed early (despite food still being on the line) and were turned away. Was very excited to eat here but a super frustrating experience and not sure I’ll give it a chance in the future.

Healthy and Yummy! That is what Corelife Eatery is! Food -good for the soul. Food prepared with fresh ingredients and to your liking. Soups options are : bone, chicken beef and vegetables broth and a chicken curry soup-delicious !!! Tacos anybody?- they have 3 type to choose from-also on the yummy side. We have tried them all. The drink station counts with different healthy lemonade flavor and teas. Friendly staff. Totally recommend this place!
