This Korean restaurant is so authentic!

The white rice is great—I was really impressed. It’s piping hot and has a chewy texture. The waitress mentioned it takes 7 minutes to cook in its own stainless pot, which is pretty unique.

The spicy chicken hot pot is super tasty, and I especially love the sweet potatoes. However, I’m not a fan of the bones. It’s not really a kid-friendly dish.

The seafood pancake is loaded with seafood.

The bone broth is tasty.

The Bulgogi and spicy pork are of high quality cut and nicely grilled.

The raw crab is tasty, but a couple of us got stomachaches afterward. I’m hoping it was just us and not the food. 😉

The service was okay, but it didn’t feel very warm. Perhaps it’s because we’re a large group, and tips are automatically included.

Authentic! Little pricy though. Could see it getting very crowded during some times. We might give this spot a 5 after we try the crab dish. We suspect we will like it a lot based on the fermented crab banchan.

Banchan ⭐⭐⭐⭐
– exactly what you’d expect
– daiko wasn’t as daikony as I was expecting
– not too much kimchi, just a couple slices

A1 Hand made dumplings ⭐⭐⭐⭐
– juicy, not frozen
– definitely hand made
– unfortunately the wrapper kept sticking to the steamer basket
– didnt love the sauce but tastes good with spicy broth
– but I would order it again despite it being just a 4

E6 la galbi ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
– too many fatty pieces
– little too sweet for me

S7 ugeoji galbi tang ⭐⭐⭐
– the meat was super stuck on the bone, would have been a 4 star if it fell off
– meat being hard to pull off made the dish hard to eat and defeated the purpose of it being in the broth

It’s very traditional Korean and I quite enjoyed it, but i found the Yuksu Bulgogi a bit expensive for what you get The mandu and japchae were great though. I loved the huge variety of banchan! My wife really enjoyed the fried mackerel.

Like being in someone’s dining room, this place is cozy but at the same time packed and bustling.

Service was prompt and fast with dishes, but still paced as we ate family style. They gave us enough time to try each new dish before the next came out. The ban chon was great and each dish shined in its own way.

The sweet pork bulgogi and seafood pancake are decent.
Other food were only ok.

Very poor services. We had a large partt, and they gave 2 potatoes in the banchan.

We were there early so not a lot of people. But they don’t do refill with banchan unless ask. They also didn’t check to see if we need anything

Best Korean food in the area! Everything we tried was delicious. It’s pricey but good quality and with great portion sizes. A wide variety of banchan came with the meal. The LA Galbi was some of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly tender and marinated. The sundaeguk was delicious as well. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes.

Everything was super flavorful from the noodles to the beef to the banchan. Service was great and they explained all the different dishes that came out. Highly recommend and will be going back for sure!

The food here is excellent — I had the soondaekook and it was amazing. Unfortunately, the service was the complete opposite.

When we entered, the owner asked how many people were in our party. I answered in Korean, and the moment she realized I was Korean, her attitude noticeably shifted. She dropped off the menu without a greeting and walked away.

We asked for more kimchi, but instead of responding, she greeted new customers who had just walked in. As she walked away, she casually said, “I’ll bring your kimchi.” None of the servers checked in with us or asked how our food was.
What stood out the most was when we left: she didn’t thank us, but she warmly thanked non-Korean customers who were leaving at the same time.

To make it worse, we later realized we had been overcharged. When we went back to fix it, there was no apology. Having worked as a waitress for 10 years, I know how important hospitality and respect are in this business. Sadly, this restaurant doesn’t seem to value that.

So, if you love authentic Korean soups, I do recommend this place for the food alone. But don’t expect good service. It’s disappointing to see how some Korean restaurant owners can be so dismissive

By far my favorite Korean restaurant in the Portland Metro. I come here once a month for either lunch or dinner, alone, with my husband and toddler, or even up to a party of 6. No matter the season, and I never leave disappointed.

The banchan spread is unparalleled. No other Korean restaurant will serve you as many banchan, and a number of the dishes are unique – you’ll not find them at any other restaurant in town. I like that they do a good job of balancing flavor profiles – some kimchi, some sour dishes, some sweet dishes, some refreshing. Not just 3 kimchi and 1 shredded cabbage salad, like you’ll see at some places.

My favorite entrees are the yukgaejang, any of the kalguksu, and the duk mandu guk. The yukgaejang has lots of meat. The seafood pancake is full of seafood. My husband loves the seasonal cold noodle dish, as well – perfect for a hot summer day.

The little automatic coffee maker by the entrance is a nice touch.

Service isn’t warm, but all of the servers are professional and keep a good pace. Don’t be shy, flag someone down if you need something.

If you are looking for authentic Korean dishes, this is the place! My sister has tried many Korean places and she said this was the best she’s ever had! The staff is friendly and helpful with choosing what to order. We ordered the spicy octopus which was delish!! Not as spicy as I anticipated and the sweet and spicy are a perfect balance. We also enjoyed the hot stone bibimbap, yukgaejang soup and mackerel. Everything was delicious!! Def make a stop here for tasty Korean food!
