The food was excellent. The service good. The atmosphere was poor. Picture eating fine dining with a pool filled with 20+ hollering kids in the middle of the restaurant.

Food and service was excellent. Atmosphere was a bit odd as it was as it was located within the same area of the hotel as the indoor pool. We had crab dip, shrimp tacos, and spicy crispy BLT. Everything was flavorful and very hot and fresh.

Solid experience from here! We ordered takeout and our food was ready in under 15 minutes. Super fresh and made to order, solid spot to grab a bite to eat. They have a pretty short menu, but the inside is spacious and they have a nice bar inside. This restaurant is located inside of the Holiday Inn Express Hotel

Since it’s Xmas day the fact it’s open earns them a star. Beyond that $20++ for 2 eggs over easy, bacon, toast and hash-browns sums up the high cost of a short vacation even in a dead zone like OC is this time of year. The atmosphere is open high ceilings and plenty of natural light. And today sparse with a few customers. The service here saves the place. Fast efficient and Friendly. The food better be really good for its $ and the eggs over easy were extra in the easy if you know what I mean.. Hash Browns are the worst out of the bag cubes into a fryer ever. No effort goes into the food here. Bacon was good. Sorry but as a Long time IHG member, food needs far greater discipline, passion, skill and management, to which it does not exist at this time. Oh, the whole wheat toast however, they got that right. Expect to spend over 25$+ for breakfast with a tip and Id imagine double + it for dinner, and likely not much better cooking skill either. Thanksgiving Dinner 2025 1 PM was by far the best meal, “Traditional Choice” on the Holiday menu, I have ever had! Every single bite was perfect. That is an impossible feat! I was a cook in a major NE Pennsylvania Casino for 9 years and this dinner was again “perfect”. Turkey, juicy thick slices with beautiful strip of herb seasoned skin, lightly seasoned herb dressing, fresh green bean casserole, red mashed potatoes (best I ever had), excellent gravy, cranberry sauce, all served Hot! The homemade pumpkin cheesecake was outstanding, again the best ever! Congratulations to the Chef and cooks for serving such a truly memorable meal.

Where do I even begin? Ina is an absolute gem at the Coral Reef Restaurant inside the Holiday Inn & Suites. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Her warm personality, constant smile, and attention to detail set the tone for a perfect dining experience.
Ina anticipated our needs before we even had to ask—refills were always topped off, meals were served with care, and she checked in just the right amount without ever interrupting our conversation. Her knowledge of the menu and her thoughtful recommendations made everything even better.

On a rainy evening we were stuck trying to find a restaurant reservation as most has issues with finding inside tables for those reserving outside seating and we were expecting a friend to visit so we opted for the Holiday Inn Restaurant Coral Reef. We have eaten there a few years ago, found the food average so were not expecting much else and it was again average but we were able to chat with our visitor indoors out of the rain.
Lena R from Moldovia, our server was really good even though she and her other servers were kept busy. The restaurant is on the lobby level where the indoor pool is located. We all ordered flounders with cole slaw and the food was delivered warm but so bland we all needed hot sauce to add flavor. WE had coffee. Nice indoor tree so we also took pictures.
Again average at best but available but good service.

We got the seafood platter and a kids grilled shrimp meal. The food was great, very tasty. The bar was right next to our table, so there was some noise, but nothing unbearable. The crab cake was great. The server was attentive and prompt, and checked in often. Overall, I’d definitely return.
