The ambiance is elevated but cozy, and the lighting was perfect: dim enough for an intimate feel, yet the table was illuminated so you could easily read the menu.
Service was impeccable. Bryce, our server, was truly exceptional: personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. A 10/10 experience. We had a good time!
To start, we ordered the bread with ocean butter (so delicious) and split the mixed green salad, which made for the perfect fall starter. We ate every bite. For entrées, our table enjoyed the halibut, lamb chops, and sea bass—each dish was beautifully prepared with great flavor and texture.
We ended our meal with one of the best desserts we’ve ever had: the sticky toffee pudding. There are no words to describe how incredible it was.
We’ll definitely be back to try more! One of the best places in Greenville.
Coral has all of the makings of a five-star dining experience if it weren’t for that pesky NIGHT CLUB VIBE (complete with a noise-level to match) on a Saturday night.
Wife and I reserved a table here for Saturday, February 7th at 8PM. Service was slow–a little relaxed you might say–but the team was clearly cohesive, it was indeed busy. The kind of busy, in fact, that while we had a reservation, when we walked in we weren’t entirely sure they would to honor it, but were sat immediately.
Our waiter, Greg, was just okay. This is the guy who chiefly was our waiter, but he was so busy with the neighboring party of 6 or 8, we felt like somewhat of a bother to him.
Nonetheless, they accommodated every whim of our meal (including splitting the wedge salad in half, as ridiculous as that sounded). We also enjoyed the tuna and Mac/cheese with lobster (my 2nd time having lobster that day–because it was after all, my birthday). Everything we ate was stunning in appearance, and tasted impeccably. We ordered a Reese’s-inspired dessert that we shared.
After we took and paid the bill, our waiter asked us what was the reason for our visit, and we obliged, “my birthday”. Honestly I was a little surprised that a detail like this was overlooked, considering it was mentioned in my Resy request. He wished me a happy birthday. As we put on our coats to leave, he rushed over with 2 mini brownie bites, with “Happy Birthday” written in chocolate. Cute, but we were stuffed and leaving!
For $177, nah.
Couple all of this with the crowd at the bar, and the crowd standing outside waiting to get in (EVERYONE SCREAMING) … we ding’d your a star.
It’s an upscale seafood restaurant, located on Main Street in downtown Greenville, with a relaxed feel making it the perfect setting whether you’re on a date night or entertaining friends.
The menu is outstanding, fresh seafood, steaks, creative pairings, and dishes that are prepared with both skill and care. Every plate has layers of flavor that make it clear this kitchen knows what it’s doing. And don’t skip dessert, all of them are excellent and the perfect finish to the meal.
What really sets Coral apart, though, is the service. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely care about your dining experience. It’s the kind of service that makes a great meal even better. Sonny and Brice are two servers that really stand out, but all of them do a fantastic job. The owner is great too and is on top of things to make sure you have a top notch experience.
They have free, front row valet parking (just tip the valet), which makes it super easy to get in and out of the restaurant.
If you’re looking for a place in Greenville that consistently delivers on all fronts, Coral should be at the top of your list!
