Coquito Kitchen offers great Argentine classics! The milanesa sandwich was generously portioned, and the empanadas were amazing! Their empanada options change almost daily, so you can always try something new! Finally they have great desserts including authentic Alfajores!

Enjoyed a casual Argentinian dinner to-go from Coquito Kitchen today! I had a sampling of the beef, sweet beef and veggie empanadas and a side of yuca with both sauces. The sweet beef was by far my favorite!! Kitchen is super clean and staff are incredibly nice. Can’t want to go again! #CoquitoKitchen #RVCC #nelsoncountyva #argentinacuisene

Incredible restaurant! The empanadas were amazing and the fried chicken was also very tasty. I loved the classic beef empanada but the vegetarian options were also great. I had alfajores for desert which were more delicious than can be described. James and Courtney are the best and the community center is really cute with pretty scenery and outdoor picnic tables you can sit at and eat your yummy food. Highly recommended, I traveled all the way from Tucson to try this restaurant so if you live in Virginia you really have no excuse not to go right now.

Stopped here passing thru, really excellent empanadas, obviously handmade and fresh. Interesting community center and beautiful place for a picnic.

Easily worth ~25-35 min. drive from Charlottesville. The combination of high quality ingredients, freshness, and customer service was 100/100. Best empanadas I’ve ever had and some of the friendliest people. They seem to genuinely care about quality food and the customers. The next-door coffee is so good too; what a tremendous combination, wow

Fantastic empanadas, sweet people, great new community staple. This place is bringing both new and old tastes to the local community center. Give them a try, you’ll be looking forward to your next visit before you leave.

My family and I ordered from here to try something new and we absolutely loved it! We tried both the sweet and savory empanadas, collard greens, deviled eggs, and burgers. We also sampled each of the desserts. I expected to have 3 empanadas, but 2 was perfect. They were so delicious and filling with a perfectly crisp shell. I was skeptical of the raisins in the sweet empanadas, but the flavors were so well balanced that they didn’t stand out too much. The savory empanadas were my favorite, goes great with the salsa. The collard greens and deviled eggs paired perfectly and the desserts were to die for. Highly recommended, this place is amazing

Absolutely fantastic food from wonderful and kind people! The spicy empanadas and yucca fries are my favorite main items and their rotating dessert selection is out of this world (black forest trifle with just-picked local cherries, hand pies with fruit from the farmer’s market, blueberry chess pie, etc.). They use all locally sourced ingredients, down to the flour from a local millery (love a small business supporting other small businesses!). The area is absolutely gorgeous- I highly recommend eating outside at one of the picnic tables- and the community center has some great shops, too, if you want to make an afternoon of it. Stopping by is a must if you are in or traveling through central VA!
