An upscale Spanish cuisine inspired restaurant. Be ready to shell more $$$, otherwise you are going to starving.

Excellent Tapas – we tried around 18 dishes betweeen 4 of us including dessert – all very well executed, some very original flavours.

Personally, I think it was okay. We ordered vegetarian paella, patatas bravas, bocadellio de la casa “bikini,” albondigas ala feria, and churros. The drinks we got were barsa (gin & tonic) and the sun never sets (cocktail).

Decent food but not amazing. We only came for the paella but to our disappointment, the waiter said the oven was broken. we ordered some tapas but a few took a long time to get to our table because I think our waiter forgot.

If Coqueta is the option for dining out my answer will always be yes. From arrival to dessert it’s always a great dining experience. Everything is full of flavor and the staff is wonderful. If you’re near the Embarcado and looking for a place to dine this should seriously be where you consider going.

Nice touch of Spain in San Francisco. The croquetas de pollo, datiles and champiñones con jamón were. I really liked the pork slider. Richness of the meat and the tanginess of the slaw and cucumber paired well!

This has been an overdue review. Dined here three times so far – on September 9th (dinner), October 30th (brunch), and November 15th (dinner-outside). Food is excellent and so is the presentation, but slightly on the expensive end (though everything is in SF). The paellas are a bit salty for my taste. That’s expected because most of what they offer are tapas. Typically comes out to $100-150 with two/three people if you don’t order drinks. It’s a safe choice to take friends and family when they visit SF, and the fact that you can reserve your seats in advance makes it all the more hassle-free. On chillier nights, the restaurant has outside heaters that won’t shelter you from the wind drifting over from the pier but does a good enough job keeping you warm.

Coqueta is pricey, but worth a visit. They’re located at Pier 5 on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. My friends and I decided to dine here before we head to Chase Center for the Warriors v. Timberwolves game.

Nice place to stop for a cocktail if you’re walking along the pier. The first time I came on a weekday and had a cocktail. The second time I tried to go was on a weekend and was not able to be seated. It gets pretty busy on the weekends even so the host staff could have been more hospitable. I recommend making a reservation. I have not tried the food yet.

Nice place, good food, good service. Just keep ordering until you’re full. Potatoes were a hit at our table; paella seemed spendy for what you get. Beignets for dessert were fantastic.
