Very cool, unassuming neighborhood bar and grill. Small separate bar area with AC, open lounge area with booths, sofas and another bar, plus, an outside backyard vibe area. Couple of pool tables. Hand cut fries, handmade burgers (not frozen patties), and great staff. Definitely a place for regulars and welcoming for newcomers. Sorry we haven’t stopped in sooner.

Staying at the islands on lake Travis. Did a restaurant near me search and found this to be close and just what we were looking for. Called ahead to be sure as they close their kitchen at 9 and they said come on in. It was a nice night to sit outside and enjoyed the outdoor lights. Nice draft selection of unique beers. Menu had so many good options and very affordable. My son loved the wings, burgers were so good! Chicken sand, chicken cesear salad and catfish sand were enjoyed by all. Good ranch too! For 5 with drinks and meals around $80. Definitely recommend.

Awesome laidback spot with the best veggie burgers in Lago Vista! They are extremely accommodating and can sub out a meat patty for the veggie patty on their burgers. The onion rings are also fantastic. Extremely friendly staff.

This place is probably just what you might expect.
A local watering hole. I was taken there by a local, and instantly recognized the hundreds of similar places I have frequented in my life. It felt like home.
The selection is pretty spartan, but they had a 10 year Macallan and some Maker’s Mark. The beers were the standard domestic offering, with perhaps 1 or two microbrews.
From what I heard the food is quite good, and lots of locals come here for meals as much as a drink.
The main bar area is very small with some dubious PC based gambling programs, which I suspect are not entirely in compliance with local gaming law, but hey, to each their own.
There was also a lot of outdoor seating and some covered areas that seemed to be accumulating random furniture brought in by locals.
All in all, relatively friendly, and a quite good “dive bar”. That was by no means meant in a negative light.
The main downfall was their lack of glassware for drinks, which was explained away by a local “they don’t have the proper dish washing setup”.
This seems odd to me, as they need some sort of scullery to wash the food dishes, but mayhaps it’s just very small.
PROTIP – Bring in your yeti and the barkeeps usually can be persuaded to use that.

If you’re looking for cocktails with a side of high school drama, this is your spot. The bartenders serve gossip faster than they pour drinks, and neither left a good taste in my mouth. I’ll be finding my happy hour elsewhere.

Wonderful hole in the wall in Lago Vista with a wecolming staff and fantastic burgers. Everyone here, from the bartenders to the kitchen staff are really cool and make you feel right at home. The drinks are amazing as well!
