Staff were awesome. We were greeted and seated in a timely manner. The only issues with the atmosphere was it was dark and very “plain”. The tables and menus were sticky, almost like they were wiped down with an old rag. The food was really good for what it was and the prices were extremely fair. My wife and son ordered the steak and for the price, it had really good flavor. Sorry my pictures were after we started grubbing

As part of my quest to spend time in all 100 NC counties, I stopped in Forest City for a late lunch and to catch up on some work.
I tried the April flatbread with an ice cold Barq’s root beer. It was SO good and filling.
My server, Jamie, was fabulous! I even had a nice spot where I could charge my laptop but the city wifi was spotty.
Will definitely come back!

This is one of my favorite spots in Forest City! Great atmosphere here and the staff is amazing. At the bar, we have Super cold beers and drinks made right. The food is always a piece culinary heaven.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our meal! We did have to wait a unusual length of time before being greeted and taken to a table and then waited an overly long time for the food to come, but it was delicious. Our server was sweet and friendly too.
To the mgmt: I looked around to speak to someone but couldn’t find someone on my way out to bring this up… The ladies bathroom sink on the left side is scalding hot! It is literally billowing steam. When I turned on the faucet to wash my hands I actually let out a scream and jumped back. My hand was bright red for awhile. I can’t imagine this not having already been reported, but just in case, I’m letting you know that it’s a very real danger!

Went for new years so place was very busy. Food was good, but felt a little pricey for the fare they offer. The alcohol beverage i ordered was good but didnt have the flare that the menu said it would come with. Willing to try again since people seem to really like it so much so another location is being opened l.

The pimento cheese balls were outstanding—rich, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal. The steak was cooked to perfection, exactly as ordered, and the baked potato was light, fluffy, and cooked just right. We also shared the Penny Tower.
We visited on a Saturday in the early evening before the Christmas light display and had about a 35-minute wait, which was absolutely worth it. By the time we left, the wait had grown to 2–2.5 hours. While the service did slow down as the restaurant became busier, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Overall, a fantastic dining experience and well worth the wait.

We were down for a family reunion, this place was recommended to us. We were happy we went. It was busy and we still got seated right away. The food and environment was great. I got the Cajun chicken Alfredo, my wife got the Cesar salad, my daughter got the Mac and cheese kids meal. We all liked what we got. My Alfredo needed a little bit of salt but was still great. Chicken was tender to cut. The fries from the kids meal were easily the best French fries I’ve ever had.

Great bar, loved the pennies on too and the fact the bar seats were comfy! Drinks were on point. Really friendly bartender too. I had the cesear salad. Craig had a burger and tater tot’s. Those tots were so good we had to order a whole other basket!

My Family and I ate here for the first time last night for dinner. We were seated right away, which was nice with it being a Friday night.
For an appetizer we ordered the Onion Petals. They were super delicious! Came out hot and fresh! You can’t even get them hot at Longhorn so we’re very impressed!
For my meal I had ordered the filot mignon with the garlic pesto. Yum!! Very flavorful and tender. Loaded baked potato and green beans. All delicious! My Husband ordered the homemade potato salad and sliders. He said it’s the best potato salad he’s ever eaten. My Momma ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich. She said it was good. We’ve never seen it made with yellow cheese though. She scraped it off. The ones we had are with provolone. Our waitress was good, my Husband though had to track her down so that I could get a refill on my beverage. Overall, I highly recommend!

We stop in Forest city on the way to the mountains just to go to copper penny. Best steaks we’ve ever had, always amazing friendly and hospitable service. We’ve traveled from Monroe to Copper Penny just as a date night at this place! It’s “our secret spot”
