The cocktails and drinks are so creative! Multiple drinks clearly influenced by India but with unique twists that I’ve never seen before. And they’re cheap!! It was a great value.
But there is no free naan or papad, which is not the end of the world, but did surprise us
We will be back!! Dominic, our waiter provides amazing service! This is exactly what Westchase needs!
We ended with the garlic naan, butter chicken, butter shrimp, I can’t even begin to tell you the flavor and richness of this sweet creamy dish! We have by far found our place and we WILL be back. I’m trying the tikka masala next! Thank you for the superb and professional service Dominic, and thank you copper and your chefs!!! 10 stars if I could!
Also, we got the Malai tikka masala and cheese nan and samosas. Each was incredible tasting. Extremely good!! Would recommend all to anyone.
Spice levels: We got a level 3 spice level and didn’t taste very spicy at all. Would probably go higher next time but other than that the flavors were amazing!
My wife got the wats up doc cocktail. Freshly pressed juices (not canned and you can tell!) and amazing taste. We were so happy with this meal. Would get everything again. Loved our server who was wonderful. Very full and very satisfied.
Hope you give this place a try. Definitely our favorite Indian place in west Tampa area!
Chef Surya also brought out their Thanksgiving special a full day before it officially launches, the Chili Cranberry Naan. It was unique, delicious, and full of flavor. I was truly amazed by the creativity and passion behind their food. Everything tasted fresh and made with real love and heart.
This visit honestly made my day. The chef and the entire staff deserve applause for the hospitality they show. I can confidently say this has become my new favorite spot and I cannot wait to return again soon with more friends to share this experience. Highly recommended, a perfect five star place in every way!
Copper Indian offers a truly delightful dining experience. The gravies are beautifully crafted — rich, flavorful, and distinct in character. Each dish carries its own unique blend of spices and textures, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail and authenticity.
Our favorites were the Coriander Chicken and Rogan Josh, both exceptionally well-prepared and full of depth. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking refined and genuine Indian cuisine.
The service was great-very friendly and amicable and the ambience was nice as well. We appreciated the chef came out after the meal to introduce himself and the compliments to him were well deserved.
We were immediately impressed when we asked for filtered water, and actually received filtered water.
From there, we knew everything would be excellent.
Our pumpkin soup came out first. I’ll have to say that every ingredient in every dish was fresh, and you could taste that. The soup was simple, earthy, flavorful, creamy, with a little kick from the chili oil garnish.
The lassi was bright, smooth, and the cardamom complimented the mango so well, without overpowering it.
For our main dishes, we ordered the ghee seared lamb chop, butter chicken, and malai chicken. We had two naans, which we saw were being rolled out upon order in the kitchens.
I want to highlight the lamb; it was beautiful. The meat itself was fresh and tender and I appreciated the seasonings offered texture to the sear and enhanced the underlying lamb flavor, instead of trying to mask it. The sauce that came with it was cooling and sweet and was perfect.
We tried all the desserts of course, and they were all different in flavor profile and composition and all stars in their own rights. The gulab jamun was light and floral, the saffron and pistachio milk was exotic and smooth, and the vermelli dish was nourishing.
Overall, you can tell so much thought and care goes into each dish, and in each ingredient. It’s was complementary, not overwhelming. This was a very satisfying meal, and we will be back. Highly recommend!
