Stopped by Copper Fox Gastropub for a quick bite and it was exactly what we needed. The burger was delicious and cooked perfectly, but the truffle fries stole the show. The dipping sauce they serve with them is absolutely superb—I could have eaten an entire bowl of just that! A great, easy spot with high-quality food.

TLDR:
Skip it. Cute branding and a reasonable interior doesn’t make up for actually being in this restaurant.
Food:
Both my fries and my friend’s were just out of the fryer and underdone. The truffle fries aren’t worth a markup. You can taste it but barely. The fork I was given was dirty. The Mac and cheese was fine.
Service:
For a restaurant that empty surprisingly little interaction. I replaced my own fork after waiting over 10 minutes.
Atmosphere:
Originally we were sat at a 2 top. We asked to move to a booth because the leather chairs have no padding. You can feel the entire square wooden frame that you’re sitting on. So no matter how perfectly reasonable everything looks, if your chairs are actively unpleasant nothing can make up for that in Atmosphere.

Super cute little restaurant in Chicago, right near a bunch of hotels super convenient if you’re staying in the area. We had burgers and similar dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious, plus, really affordable!
The staff was incredibly friendly like, genuinely super nice, we felt really welcomed. The vibe inside was super calm and quiet, which was perfect because we were looking for a cozy, chill place to eat.
Honestly, such a great find. If you’re nearby, definitely check it out!

First note was the calm and aesthetic atmosphere. Customer service was excellent and the Lumo Crab Hush Puppies as well as the Shrimp & Grits were surprisingly good. Copper Fox Gastropub is giving elevated fine dining. It was so good in order the whole meal over to bring to my room. 100/10.
Next time I’m in Chicago for work this will be the go to spot!

Great stop while walking around town. We had Kerry for bartender/server. He’s excellent. I had the egg white frittata. My husband the turkey avo. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Nice beer, wine, drink selection.

Kerry was absolutely fantastic. He was attentive, friendly, funny, genuine and answer all of our questions. We’re from Canada so that means a lot since we don’t know the city that well. The food was delicious too! We tried the crispy brussel sprouts, and they were cooked to perfection. Great dining experience. Definitely coming back again! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal in a cozy setting.

Absolutely love this place! High quality, delicious food; great service and comfortable, laid back atmosphere. We had two mules- the pomegranate and the strawberry (which also had mint) and they were VERY good. The biscuits are fresh, flaky and delicious and the lump crab hush puppies were perfectly cooked- crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Highly recommend this place for drinks and appetizers. Will definitely be back for dinner sometime!

The hostess was very accommodating seeing as how we didn’t have reservations and the place was booked. They were able to seat us relatively quickly and we were able to eat before the game.
