I love the food here, but the atmosphere can use some updating. It’s why we don’t visit as often.

Had the calamari ….severely over cooked . Service was decent ..atmosphere is great . Potatoes on my fried ribeye were cold ..very dissapointed for the scale this restaurant should be. I looked at reviews … but my experience is no where close to them.

Best southern atmosphere in Central Texas. Service needs a few tweaks…like smile and look your customers in the eye when you speak to them. Fix that and 5 stars all the way!

Atmosphere gets a perfect 10. This is a laid back yet upscale country western restaurant. Wear your starched Jean’s or Sunday best. Either way dining here is an experience everyone must have at least twice in their life.

This place is the bomb The food is so delicious. The atmosphere is by far Texas style. The food was good and super delicious. If you get a chance stop by and get yourself a nice aged Texas stake.

This is a very nice establishment. The atmosphere was calm and quiet and the staff was very friendly. The food was very fresh, however my wife and I agreed that it was a little lacking in seasoning. The prices were very fair for a better quality lunch.

This is our absolute favorite lunch spot in Abilene and for good reason! Our drinks are always on point by Angela, who is always so friendly, helpful and makes outstanding cocktails from blue cheese stuffed dirty martinis, customized Mexican martinis, to smoked old fashions! For lunch we had the Wagyu ribeye perfectly cooked and so delicious with sides of asparagus and portobello mushrooms. Just exquisite all around!

Excellent food and friendly service. We ordered the tenderloin medallions with garlic mashed potatoes, the blackened redfish, and the waygu tenderloin with truffle butter and fried onions.

My sisters and I visited Copper Creek Restaurant this afternoon. This is one of the truly higher end restaurants in Abilene. The outside of the restaurant is very nice looking and was clean. When you pass thru the two castle like doors you enter into a hunter’s paradise. Leather and Taxidermy animals everywhere with a giant fireplace in the middle. We were greeted promptly by a well dressed staff member. Our drinks were brought out quickly except my Topo Chico. When it finally came it was poured table side in a wine glass. We started with the Goat Cheese Jalapeño Poppers. O.M.G. so very good. Rates right up there with one of the very best appetizers we ever tasted. The goat’s cheese, bacon, and perfectly cooked jalapeño was silky smooth, crunchy, and slight warm from the pepper. A must try when you visit here. Here is where there was a lot of conflict in the meal we ordered. We all three ordered the chicken fried steak meal. A pounded ribeye that was breaded and fried. It was served with mashed potatoes and a beautiful gravy. Both my sisters were enamored by their meals. They loved the super crunchy batter and perfect mashed potatoes with perfect gravy. I on the other hand was not so besotted by my meal. I felt mine was way too salty and way too much breading. I ended up taking all the breading off and eating the bit of steak that was left. I wasn’t even impressed with the steak. The mashed red potatoes were great and that gravy was phenomenal. I suspect it was a perfectly made bechamel sauce. I could eat that everyday. One of my sisters ordered several drinks and while they were odd pairings of herbs and alcohol it was good. The service and atmosphere was upscale and amazing. Other than myself not liking the chicken fried steak it was very good. I couldn’t give it five stars but it was a high end four.

When you spend $200 on dinner for 3, you expect good food but I was surprisingly underwhelmed. Steak advertised as 30 day aged prime, not a bad steak but not what I was expecting. A little tough and no flavor to the aging and I was disappointed to the point I took 3 bites from different sides of the steak and sent it back . My son ate the tails (the part you typically don’t eat) off the shrimp and left the shrimp, the broccoli was really bland and the salsa for the redfish wasn’t fresh. The salad, literally grilled romaine lettuce, (that they say is for the smoky flavor) was singed, wilted and tasted burnt. This is the same quality you could expect for Chili’s or Outback steakhouse for a quarter the price (minus the grilled lettuce). Definitely feel like they’re taking short cuts and it is 100% not the quality they advertise, especially the steaks.
