Steak, seafood & an extensive wine list, plus Sunday brunch, served in an exposed-brick space.

Yesterday after running some errands, we decided to go to Copper Cellar for lunch. My biggest complaint about Copper Cellar is that there’s only one ramp on the other side of the parking lot to get on the sidewalk.
After we ordered, they brought us freshly baked sourdough bread. I thought the bread had a strong sourdough taste and was incredibly soft. For my meal, I ordered Maryland Crab Cakes and they were served with one side and I decided to go with blue cheese grits. The crab cakes had a beautiful golden brown crust and were incredibly lumpy. I thought the grits were very creamy and had a mild blue cheese flavor. I highly recommend trying the crab cakes with the grits. My mom chose the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and she loved it. My dad got the chicken salad sandwich with fries and he thought it was good. If you’re ever in the area of Copper Cellar, I highly recommend checking them out.

This restaurant has such a warm, cozy atmosphere and the service was genuinely excellent—welcoming, attentive, and professional. It’s easy to see why this place has been a longtime staple in town. That said, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The dishes felt under-seasoned and were overpriced for what it was. Overall, a lovely spot for ambiance and service, but the food was average for the cost.

I have been here twice and had fantastic experiences both times. The food is excellent, the wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and it has a very warm and inviting decor. It is also reasonably priced, especially for special occasions. You should definitely give it a try.

Delicious brunch buffet with a wide variety of foods. There is a make your own Belgian waffle area, a chef to make delicious custom order omelets and the prime rib carving station was fantastic! If that wasn’t enough, they have lots of amazing desserts. A must try on Sunday!

What an amazing first experience! Service was fantastic, the food on point and the prices were reasonable. A 28oz. ribeye for $56.00? Absolutely! Cooked to the perfection of rare, melting in your mouth delicious. The prime rib was good, though she would have preferred it served more on the rare side. Oysters? Huge and sooo good! The crab dip was another winner at the table. The other half of the restaurant, Cappuccino is an Italian menu which is alleged to be just as good. A tip from our server? Eat at the bar and you can order from both menus if you chose! We will definitely be back to sample more of the dishes they serve.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful, romantic meal last weekend. I’ve eaten here since the late 1970s. This restaurant remains one of the best. Ambiance is cozy, rustic, and romantic. Her chicken teriyaki was perfect. My Boursin filet was very tasty and incredibly tender. We both loved the neva potatoes. Finally, our service was outstanding. It was a great experience!

This restaurant deserves six stars. The food, everything from the fresh made sourdough bread, to the brownie sundae, and the main course of heavenly, divinely flavorful sirloin and ribeye steaks in between, was top tier phenomenal. And, $110 for three people, with salads and sodas, especially at this lofty level of quality, was an excellent value for a steakhouse, especially a top tier one.
Aside from the food, we loved the cozy, warm ambience of the dining room. Sadly, a lot of restaurants have replaced this vibe with something cold and uninspiring. Not here. It felt wonderful just to spend time inside this place. Best off all, perhaps, this place is not in the least bit pretentious. It’s very come as you are, and everyone we spoke with was friendly and unassuming.
Our server, Julia, was patient, informative and friendly. She did a fantastic job of being attentive, despite juggling several other busy tables. Very professional while being sincere, down-to-earth and pleasantly real.
My daughter absolutely loved her birthday meal. We all enjoyed our exoerience at Copper Cellar. We’ll definitely be back.

I have only visited for the Sunday brunch and I was not impressed. The omelet and the waffle were delicious but everything else I tried, well let’s just say I expected more than a fancy continental breakfast. Especially when it is $80 for two people.

We decided to celebrate our anniversary here and were glad we did. Our entire experience was just enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy yet romantic. Our server Dylan B was just wonderful and gave us just the perfect amount of attention. The amount of food for the price was just great! My husband got the cowboy special and we ate the lefts of the 28oz steak for days! Loved the fresh bread and the blue cheese grits were completely out of this world! Steaks were cooked perfectly! The only thing that was less than perfect was they plated our sides backwards so we had to carefully switch them as the dishes were very hot. But no biggie, at least they were what we ordered!!! Have to say though…we both agree, that the best part of the meal was the side order of mushrooms! These are a MUST! Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

This place is truly one of the original Knoxville restaurants and a solid staple in the local dining scene. It’s been around forever for a reason and has become part of the fabric of the city. You can feel the history and familiarity the moment you walk in, and it continues to deliver a consistently good experience.
While brunch isn’t my personal favorite here, dinner is where this restaurant really shines. The menu offerings in the evening are reliable, well executed, and comforting, making it an easy go-to for a satisfying meal. Everything feels familiar in the best way—nothing flashy, just solid food done right.
More than anything, this spot represents what a true local staple should be. It’s dependable, welcoming, and deeply rooted in Knoxville. Whether you’re a longtime resident or visiting for the first time, it’s one of those places that feels like part of the community and continues to earn its reputation year after year.
