We began with the Shrimp Cakes with Tasso Butter Cream, and this appetizer set the tone beautifully. The Gulf shrimp and crab cakes were perfectly crisp on the outside yet tender within, while the Tasso butter cream sauce added a smoky richness that paired harmoniously with the green onions and Parmesan cheese. It was an elegant starter that showcased both flavor and creativity.
For entrées, the Blackened Redfish was exceptional. The filet was expertly seasoned and seared, offering that signature Creole spice without overwhelming the natural flavor of the fish. Served with Creole shrimp rice and a choice of side, it was both hearty and satisfying. Adding filet of redfish proved to be well worth it for those who appreciate generous portions of high-quality seafood. The Salmon Oscar seared with herbs, garlic sautéed shrimp and spinach, red hot potatoes, hollandaise sauce was another standout. It was tender and juicy with a delicate char that complemented the richness of the fish.
From start to finish, Copeland’s impressed with its attention to detail, quality ingredients, and commitment to Louisiana-inspired flavors. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between upscale and welcoming, making it an ideal choice for both special occasions and casual evenings out.
If you’re looking for an authentic taste of New Orleans with sophistication and flair, Copeland’s is a must-visit.
For my entrée, I had the crayfish fettuccine, which was packed with rich, wonderful flavors. We also sampled a variety of appetizers, including crab cakes, deep-fried noodles with artichoke dip, a pizza-like crab dish, and a chicken ball-style offering. Each was delicious in its own way, but the standout for me was the pizza-like crab dish—so flavorful that I would have happily had it as my main course if the portion were larger.
Dessert was just as impressive. I enjoyed the bread pudding, which was drizzled with a decadent rum-flavored glaze—absolutely delicious. Others at the table had cheesecake, but as much as I appreciate a good dessert, cheesecake tends to be too rich for me to finish.
Overall, this was another wonderful visit to Copeland’s. This marks my third time dining here, and I’m already looking forward to a fourth. If you’re looking for a restaurant with great food, excellent service, and an authentic Southern feel, this is definitely a place worth visiting!
All of the staff were kind and attentive, but our server, Nalung, truly stood out. Nalung showed excellent hospitality, made us feel genuinely welcome, and checked in at just the right times to ensure everything was perfect.
We really appreciated the service and overall experience, and we would definitely recommend Copeland’s for brunch. We’ll be back again soon!
