★★★★★ A Flavor-Packed Family Feast!
We brought our family of 6 to Copeland’s for dinner, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a large family gathering.
The Food Highlights:
The Main Meals: Everything we ordered was amazingly flavorful. The Copeland’s Burger was juicy and hit the spot, and the Chicken Alfredo was rich, creamy, and cooked to perfection.
The Famous Biscuits: You cannot skip these! They were so soft and flaky they literally melted in our mouths.
The Drinks: Their sweet tea is absolutely to die for—easily some of the best we’ve ever had.
Service & Vibe:
The service was good and handled our large party with ease. We felt right at home the entire time. If you’re looking for a place where the food is consistently delicious and the vibe is just right, this is it!
Favorite dish: Jambalaya Pasta & those incredible biscuits.

The classiest and most flavorful food in Jacksonville that will make your tastebuds thank you after each and every bite. With exceptional service and the Love from New Orleans food there isn’t a better choice for any occasion. Including a private dining room for those special or business occasions and still plenty of room in the main dining areas with booths that are spacious and comfortable for the ensuing enjoyment of great food, great service, and great company. My personal favorite is the Artichoke Spinach dip served with fried bowtie noodles that complement it in as the perfect appetizer. With a true classic and romantic bar and bar seating the choices are endless. Last but not least they even have one of the most comfortable outside screened-in patios that is warm even in this cold Florida weather so as not to take away from the delicious meal your about to love!

I took my mom out for a nice lunch and we throughly enjoyed! Stefanos was our server. He was kind, patient, and made sure to check on us. The food was hot and delicious. We shared the crab beignets and Oysters Rockefeller. The beignets are a big hit! They are full of crab and flavor, fried to perfection. The oysters were loaded with toppings and fresh. We also enjoyed the crawfish bread, which was creamy, cheesy, and had crawfish throughout. My mom had the crawfish étouffée, which was also very yummy! Copeland’s never disappoints!

The ribeye was greasy and undercooked, like it never met a grill long enough to sear. The Chicken Primavera tasted like it came from the frozen aisle at 2 a.m. on a Tuesday. The red beans and rice were basically a red bean purée with a single scoop of rice tossed on top — more like a side of bean baby food than a Southern staple.

And the crab cakes? Absolutely awful. They were packed with tiny, rubbery shrimp that had no business being there. This is Jacksonville, where Mayport shrimp are local pride — but apparently Copeland’s missed that memo.

Service was fine, but nothing could save the food. For the prices they charge, this was a total disappointment. There are too many good restaurants in town to settle for this.

Stay away from the gumbo unless you like a lot of crawfish in it.

Bottom line: skip it — the menu sounds fancy, but what hits your table doesn’t live up to the hype.

1st timers it was a great dinner date for us. New Orleans style food is similar to us the Carolinians bcuz we all love seafood. We had a wonderful server and the chef came out to ask us about our food. Thanks chef.

The second plate was from my previous meal a couple of years ago. It was delicious. The first plate was my dinner tonight and it was severely overcooked . I showed the manager both pictures and she was very uncooperative. I will definitely not eat here again.

I ordered a to-go meal from Copeland’s and was extremely disappointed. The food looked so dry and unappetizing that I couldn’t even eat it. The fish was overcooked rubbery , the rice looked bland, and the broccoli had no freshness.

When I called to complain, I was told to bring the food back the next day to receive a replacement. That is not acceptable — I shouldn’t have to return inedible food just to get the quality meal I already paid for.

For the price, I expected fresh, flavorful food and better customer service. This experience left me very unsatisfied, and I truly hope Copeland’s improves the quality of their to-go orders and how they handle customer concerns.

Let me give you some BACKSTORY first, because this ain’t just a review, this is a reunion tour.

I’m 32 years old and the last time I had Copeland’s before this visit… I was SIXTEEN. I used to go to the Maryland location back in the day until they shut it down, then life happened, I moved states, and boom no Copeland’s anywhere near me. For years, all I had were memories. Jazzy Wings memories specifically. I didn’t even order anything else back then. Just wings and vibes.

Fast forward to now, I walk into the Jacksonville FL location and immediately knew my food was about to be GREAT… and I mean Tony the Tiger “they’re GRRREAT” great. The young lady who sat me looked like Cooking With Kya from TikTok, so spiritually I already felt fed before the menu touched my hands.
Then comes my waitress Abby. When I tell you she treated me like a celebrity that just sat down quietly and didn’t want attention. Elite service. I was halfway through my sweet tea and she already brought another one. I didn’t even get the chance to THINK about a refill. She had me tapping out on sweet tea for the first time in my life. Legendary behavior.
I ordered the Jazzy Wings obviously because you don’t come here to experiment… and I added the honey butter biscuits because I kept hearing whispers. Let me tell you something very serious. I’ve eaten a LOT of biscuits in my 32 years on this earth. Church events. Cookouts. Auntie kitchens. Random gas stations that swear they homemade.

These biscuits?
This was the Japanese A5 Wagyu of biscuits.
Softer than cotton candy. Buttery. Dangerous. I don’t even think they should be legal. If biscuits had a luxury section, these would be roped off with security.
The Jazzy Wings were still hitting exactly like I remembered, which is rare.

If I had Keith Lee money, I would’ve tipped everybody in that place $10,000 just off respect. Copeland’s didn’t just serve food, they unlocked a core memory.
I’m mad I don’t live closer… but I WILL be back.
